Sophie, STOP feeling ashamed. It was out of your control. I cant imagine either how a therapist does not want to help you. I am not therapist, but I wish I could do something to take away your pain. You made it out alive and now you can tell your story and possibly help others that have noone to turn to. College may be tough to deal with, but you can do it, if you have overcome worse. God has put us all here for a journey, yours may have been very rocky at the start, but hopefully, with your strength, you can serve a purpose to others and make a difference.

How old are you? You seem to be young from your pics, you could probably be my little sister. I admire you for being strong. Don't give up and whenever in doubt you have alot of encouragement from your friends @ BB4U!!

I guess what I'm looking for is just ideas for coping and/or just a good conversation about abuse/trafficking and how it can be slowed or stopped altogether.

I'm sorry, I shouldnt say anything, but I had an ex girlfriend that loved to feed people stories about abuse and misfortune to try and get attention. She was a crazy drug addicted pathalogical liar. Not at all saying that your are. But I hate it when people post their lifes problems(real or made up) and then feed off all the sympathy they are given. Sorry, but you've done this a couple times now....

You will be quite happy to know I've deleted everything I posted in this thread except for this reply.

I have never posted any of my life problems on this board nor am I looking for sympathy. Yes, I have said my back was broken to explain why I was not doing certain exercises. Sorry, next time I won't answer questions when they are asked about my routine.

I resent the fact that you are insinuating I'm doing this to get attention. It is people that think like you that make it impossible for those who have been abused to get the help they need and want.

I hope you're happy you've hurt me.

maybe this is the best place for her to talk about what shes been through..

I'm guessing you dont have kids or you would not be saying that she made this up...

Here here! Traps, until you have walked in someone's shoes, try to be a bit more understanding. You have no idea what this young lady may have been through. Keep your unhelpful comments to yourself. God forbid you should have to endure something as awful as this girl has.

We all post on this board to learn new things about one another, help each other out or to find some type of encouragement. Why can't we just all get along???

I tend to agree with this. Some thing about these posts by sophie kinda rubbed me the wrong way, they just didn't seem right for some reason. I am not trying to be an a-hole or anything like that but you have to be cautious about people who seem to have an agenda.

I think it is an uncomfortable subject. I'm so sorry you had to go through what you did.

I couldn't read the entire article, it was too detailed, too much for me to take in. I do recommend if you want to have the article on the web, to put it somewhere that is password protected...the stuff in there, I can just picture people like the sickos that did stuff to you reading that and getting pleasure from it.

I guess we are apprehensive because many of us would not talk about our personal lives in such depth on a message board.

I wish this were a story and this did not happen to you sophie.

There are many survivors of trafficking that wish it was only a story.

That webpage, as with my poems, are not anywhere to be found. They are not listed on my main site and cannot be gotten to unless the person knows the URL. I also delete the links every few days and if I want to leave them up, change the location.

As for not talking about it on a message board, I have no where else to talk about it. I can't verbally talk about it yet. The web is the only place to talk about it without having to actually talk. I know I have to get it out of my system somehow and sharing helps me get it out.

When I go on the talk show, all links will be taken down, probably indefinitely. I will not longer have to share with others online, as I will hopefully have a therapist to talk to about it all.

I'd like to know what seems "off." My story is on the up and up whether or not anyone believes it. I know what happened and that's all that really matters. I'm starting to learn that.

The only "agenda" I have is to make people aware of what happens and that stuff like this DOES happen. The only way it will ever be stopped it through awareness, something that is lacking in this area.

Traps: I doubt you have been trained in profiling, and if you are, I apologize for my assumption.

I'm not making up an illness. I'm not saying I have cancer, I'm saying I was trafficked and abused, that's not an illness.

As for other sites, there is one forum I have found that deals with trafficking and that is on the Lifetime channel movie boards as Lifetime made a movie called "Human Trafficking." I post on there frequently. There is also humantrafficking.org and thre Polaris Project that deals with trafficking and tries to get people out of the situation.

I thought this would be a good place to share and inform based on other threads here, such as the one about predators online. I still think I made the right choice in sharing. At least people here are aware, whether they believe it or not is their own choice.
