they will be doing the greater good by attacking syria. its time to take some more terrorist regimes out. hopefully the US will back them cause i'll be disappointed if they dont. and yes it is worth 3 soldiers. when you serve your country you should at least know that your country is willing to do whatever it takes to get back if captured. its called honor and loyalty

yea, not to say that wars should happen to boost the economy but they are excellent for it...many of the jobless during the depression found jobs building planes, tanks, guns etc. for the war


and now for my two cents...i would love to see peace in the middle east and despite how unpopular and desperate our situation in iraq is, i still believe it will be for the best in the end having a government that is somewhat on our side

as for israel, they are a VERY powerful military force and they will not let politicians fight thier wars for them, the military will do its job and do it well, i just hope that the fighting stays between israel and terrorists (not israel and syria or iran and lebanon) if it has to stay at all...i also pray that this isnt the beginning of WWIII

that's the point though. the terrorists are getting backing, aid, and are being harbored by countries like syria, iran and lebanon. you have to go after them to get to the terrorists. i hope isreal goes after them with full force. Anyone notice how france comdemns isreal for taking military action but they dont comdemn the terrorists for kidnapping the soldiers which is what the isreal response is all about. typical liberal mindset.

When the middle east uses the same methods as the US then its strikingly amusing to see it viewed in a different light. Israel has been looking for a good excuse, this is it... hence why it is destroying all the re-build projects Lebanon has completed after the peace deal years ago.

This conflict might able america to keep the wagon train a'rollin into syria and Iran... i'm suprised some arn't cracking out the beer and lighting a BBQ

i am american and i agree with you 100%. isreal shouldnt release any prisoners, shouldnt negotiate with terrorists and should unleash a war against the opposing country to get the soldiers back and any american that says isreal shouldnt (or america shouldnt do the same in the same situation) is brain dead. they dont realize you cant negotiate with these people. you cant appease them. you have to destroy them. i hope if this does escalate into syria and iran that american is there with the 5000 lb bombs to help them out. and i am sure our friends the brits and aussys will be there to help out too. lets get rid of these terrorist harboring regimes once and for all!

No matter how patriotic you are,how can you even think about droping a 5000 lb bomb on a nation beats me.How whould you feel if one day any other country will drop a bomb on USA?I hope that day will never come but i hope that there will be no more war as well.The world is already torn apart.

when it comes to terrorist nations. yah i would drop a 5000 lb bomb. hell if it were up to me i'd drop a nuke if it meant we could get every terrorist in one shot. and i agree with you i hope there is no more war as well. but the only way to end waris to kill off all of the terrorists and terrorist regimes. its called peace through strength.

and what is your solution? sit and talk to the terrorists? ask them to please leave us alone? appease them? give in to their every demand? no matter how much we leave them alone they will never stop. that is what people who think like you dont understand. you cant talk to them. you cant reason with them. the only way to reason with them is to kill them. plain and simple. you might not like it. but its the truth

I have a real problem with nukes, I prefer my milk sans radiation, and quite insist we refrain from nuking anyone under (almost) any condition.

some say that ww1 had too much an effect on the economy of all the industrial nations to respond to crisis. Think about it, nearly a whole generation of the bulk of the work force was lost to War. That has a big effect on the economy. I do believe that ww2 created many jobs and helped the industial nations out of the depression. Germany was the first to start building for war and consequently and were 1 step in front of everyone else, but were the ones hurt the most by ww1.

On anther note, i believe George is with Israel.

This is not good for the lebanese people, they're are being punished because of this group that israel is attacking. If this keeps going and innocent civillians keep dying the lebanese people will start to turn on Israel if they already haven't.
