does god really care what day as long as you go to church?
does god really care that you go to church?

if you believe in the lords work and his preachings "yada yada", why do you need to go to church? I thought the lord heard us no matter where we were...

I am not really too big on church anymore...had alot of bad experiences with it...

As for the whole Sat/ Sun thing...I don't think it really matters...it it what is in your heart that counts. *TRAZ vomits in disgust at his terrible, greeting card response*

We have sunday as the sabbath day.

I think it does matter that you go to church. There are certain reasons we have chuch every week. In my faith, we take the sacrament[bread and water(wine)] every week. That is the main reason we have church every week. second is to learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I dont understand much about the whole saturday vs. sunday idea, but I go on sunday. That is what the Lord has instructed, and we follow. Trying to do this whole technicality thing on whether it's sat or sun is ridiculous.

a few.

feeling like you are a horrible sinner is one.

people saying you are going to hell is another.

people judging you when they are probably worse off than you.

Now, i dont see any of that when i go to church, but i know those are some reasons that people don't like church.

How about people treating you like their best friend at church, but avoid you like the plague if they see you anywhere else...hypocrites...

Good question. God has instructed that worship is on sunday.

does god really care that you go to church?

YES

if you believe in the lords work and his preachings "yada yada", why do you need to go to church? I thought the lord heard us no matter where we were...

How many people know the Lord's work?

the Lord's work is to build up the Kingdom of God on the earth. To gather the saints, and followers of Christ.

The Lord's work is charity and forgivness, in general terms. How many eople have this?

So, why do we need to go to church? for the one reason i stated above(sacrament), and to learn more about the gospel. I dont think anyone knows everything about the gospel. It's a life time of learning.

also the lord said, I'm paraphrasing,

He that doesnt continue in the gospel will lose that which he already had(meaning faith), and he that continue in the faith will have added upon great blessings, and glory to the name of God.

yeah, well don't worry about other people and their faults. continue going to church because you love God (first commandment) and not because people avoid you outside of church.

When I did go to church I saw the biggest sinners their every week.......God id not in a church and going to one is not ever mentioned in the bible....If people lived their lives for christ then it would be a better world...but most don't and all they do is go to church once a week to pretend they are christian and nothing else in their lives reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Wouldnt it be great to know if a church actually lived the teachings of Christ daily? I know of one. Not that any memeber is perfect, but they try atleast.

I actually go to church on sundays...why? I like to learn what I have no clue about. yes I have no ill feelings towards religious people, in fact I like the challenge they present to me during bible studies. I learn every sunday how people are just people and I cannot blame them for needing something to hold on to.

It obviously matters on what religion you are.
For catholics, you guys need to go to church every week. If you miss a "mass" you are commiting a mortal sin and you are in danger of going to hell.

Just because u missed church one week hardly should put you in immediate danger of hell. If this was true, every catholic is going to hell by their standard. I've been to a catholic mass one time. I just didnt feel the spirit there. All the kneeling and standing, and 'peace be with you' stuff was obviously different for me.

I know you dont beleive in God TM, and I think it is cool that you go to church anyways. Do you have a desire to beleive in God? just curious.
