good thing you put that little side note there. I thought I was gonna have to open up my can of whoop ass on you and spar with you a bit...in all seriousness, Just as you said...we are a guest in someone's business therefore, I do not see why the bickering about locking the threads or not. It's really nobody's call but the appointed.

Default Serious topics that affect all, why can't they be DISCUSSED?

Serious topics are just that and should be treated as such and discussed as such and as an adult who can discuss things maturely.

On the thread I made, "Nearly 50% of all men", posts No. 7 and No. 10 are showing supposed quotes "I made" WHICH I NEVER DID and NEVER SAID - how is that happening and who is doing it? The topic of the thread I created was meant to be a serious discussion about the subject.

As for creating "gay" threads, I have not until this particular thread and it is not a "gay" thread but one concerning Male Sexuality. I have responded to threads made by others and saw that some threads were devoted to the Gay topic so because I read this book FORBIDDEN FRIENDSHIPS by Michael Rocke which discusses Male Sexuality I thought it WORTH the effort and the time to share this with others and have others DISCUSS it as adults and I even made that statement in the original post.

And then the flaming by some immature persons. And then the quotes supposedly made by me (as listed above) WHICH I NEVER MADE NOR DO I TALK LIKE THAT.

When do you (to those that this applies) plan on BECOMING the Men you would have others THINK you are and WHEN do you plan on becoming MATURE?

Also, if you do not like a subject to something why open it in the first place? You are not forced to do anything. No one tells you you have to do anything.

START GROWING UP (to those that this applies)!

Censorship is not the answer. This country was not founded on that. Freedom of speech is. And should be encouraged.

How about ELIMINATING ALL REFERENCES TO SEX period, Heterosexual, BiSexual and Homosexual and not allowing any discussion whatsoever about the topics. And you could also go further and NOT allow the discussion of religion as well. If you prohibit one it should follow that you prohibit the other as well. If you want this to be a Bodybuilding Forum then state that is ALL that is to be talked about. Nothing more.

Johnny, I believe we are all intitled to our own opinions. I for one do not stand for flaming. but when a subject matter regarding male sexuality is brought up; after all the gay threads have been popping up like hot potatoes...starts to look like this forum is geared towards homosexuality. and it isn't the case.

still looks like a subject geared towards excusing homosexuality inwhich we have many threads started already.

Let's just rise above the bullshivicks and discuss in a mature way while continuing civility. complaining about something you have no power to change or reverse whatever it may be will get you nowhere. As you have said...the mature way.

I thought I ALSO had this "right" but apparently it depends on the subject being (hopefully) discussed.

How is it that some subejcts can be hammered into the ground with discussion and others are "not allowed"?

In my opinion TrainedMind you have a perfect right to your thoughts as does anyone else visiting this Thread. However it appears that if I want to talk about something it has to "clear" "hurdles" first because someone might be "offended" or can not handle mature discussion. Isn't that happening on this Thread as well?

You hit right on Taekwondo. I don't mind the newbs asking BB questions or have some fun but we can not loose sight of the fact that we are on this board mainly to discuss bodybuilding on a variety of topics and help/drive each other to be better. Lately, I've noticed many new comers which is excellent, but the imaturity level from some members is getting to be a pain in the a*s. I'm with you bro.

I see where you are heading with this whole agenda. yes it does but gay thread is not related to religion and is more acceptable than that of the other subject. I am not a homophobic or anyone else in this forum, atleast I hope not; but let's face it there is only this thread and maybe the mormon religious belief thread that Bufflurp started....not a string of gay threads: trust me, I would be the first to complain if religious threads started popping up like hot cakes...well maybe exaggerated but you know what I mean..let's not let petty indifferences tear this forum and run it to the ground..it's a place to let out steam.

but what is with all the gay threads?

one topic of conversation, its a taboo topic as it is in some peoples eyes yet you still bang the same topic over and over.

if you were a member here and posted threads helping people out bodybuilding wise and been around for a while, this wouldnt be an issue as such but you join here and start straight off the bat with this crap.

As for sexuality and freedom, I'm all for it for those who expressed concern in some posts here. I do not think this a gay bashing party. The problem is that you do not get up talking about sexuality and such in a math class, do you?
Well, this is a BB site and it should stay like that. I"m sure there are other avenues and outlets out there to express opinions you have in every subject.
Peace

I am not into the "promotion" of ignorance and/or stupidity. And I am not into the censorship of others.

I look with completely open "eyes" at ALL subjects objectively. That IS the ONLY WAY ANYONE LEARNS ANYTHING - AND UNDERSTANDS ANYTHING.

If you are speaking to me, it is pure coincidence. I responded to topics brought up by others and then tried to expand on that DISCUSSION. As AN ADULT. WHO IS MATURE. If you will look you will see that I have posted in a lot of areas and got "damned" for "bringing up old threads" or even suggesting that IF a MAN will DO HIS VERY BEST HE WILL ACHIEVE HIS VERY BEST - what the hell!!! Am I supposed to get persmission to do ANYTHING on this Board while others get free reign? What does being "new" to This Board have to do with anything? And how is it that many here can damn, bash, discredit by posting things and having those statements attributed but were NEVER said by me and get completely away with it? Do you hear ME complaining about them? I let them have their "fun" uncensored - because their words REVEAL the people they ARE - or ARE NOT.

When do people begin to GROW UP?

Where is the DISCUSSION? How does ANYONE then LEARN ANYTHING?

Fine. A Bodybuilding site. That's fine with me and I have no problem with that at all. Then let the discussions stick to that topic and eliminate or prohibit any discussion not directly related? I am not in favor of censoring anything or anyone - everyone has something to contribute no matter the content. Their words reveal who they are - or are not. And how they conduct themselves. There certainly is a LOT of OTHER topics not even remotely related to Bodybuilding allowed.
