As far as evolution/creationalism being taught in public schools, a philosophy class is more suitable than a science class.

I don't think so .... not when there's physical proof of it.

Right. And the students can weigh that physical proof against the creationalism theory. Its not about convincing to either side, just presenting a counter theory. I think its important to allow those who want faith in thier lives to keep it by not mandating "proof that faith is false" by teaching it in science class. I agree with evolution, but you cannot ignore the value of religion in our society.

People of the faith believe in creationalism anyway - it doesn't matter matter what evidence you put in front of them.
For this reason, it doesn't matter either way.

i agree with this. the same should hold true for the phony Global Warming "crisis". schools shouldnt only teach that global warming is happening. they should also teach that it is complete nonsense and not real at all (which is what I happen to believe). students could then come to their own conclusions.

global warming is taxable... governments can make big money by enforcing industry/commerce/residents to be green

"Global warming" will go away in a few years, evolution vs. God will stay. I don't think its necessary to counter global warming; its too silly to even give that consideration. I really don't want to envision a faithless America in 40 years, we will be no better than our european counterparts- who suck.

I would argue that faith is a defining factor in who we are as a people, and why we do what we do. We are the most prosperous in part because we are relativly un-corrupted and honest human beings. We are also the most benevolent and charitable nation in the history of nations. We strive to "save" the globe from "evil and poverty". I'm sure that faith plays into this since it is our main distinction from the Europeans, who don't do any of these things.

Therefore, it is important to keep alive one of the traditions that make us American. Consider the bigger picture for once instead of miring down into political correctness and "common sense".

Didn't your government just outlaw political satire? lol.

Do tell me the right way so we can be like the wise New Zealanders.

They tried but failed.

You don't want to be like us - NZ is a testing ground for One World Order policies.

It is compulsory to microchip our dogs here (a pre-human test).
The government is trying it's hardest to split up families with it's welfare policies.
They tried bringing in legislation to control alternative remedies (including vitamins & minerals) so that we'd have to get a prescription for it (this was pushed forward by the pharmaceutical companies).
Our government will lie, cheat and steal to stay in power.

One day the UN will control everything - they are an evil, corrupt society and our government, Helen Clark (the one that looks like a bloke) is kissing the UN's ass to get a seat in there later.

The fact alone that they tried to outlaw political satire is just one step closer to dictatorship.

NZ isn't the best place to be, believe me.
