Hobbies anyone?
What are your hobbies?
When I am not working..I love to take my car apart and build it again. Just so that I can well, be one with my car, I guess. Sometimes when I don't feel the urge to destroy anything I sing like a fairy. I play the guitar to keep my mind off something or just to ease the day through. On my off days from the gym, I play ball: Basketball until I puke. Sometimes at night I go to a Karaoke bar and sing like a fairy again, and yes I do risk having tomatoes and whatever projectile is available thrown at me but it's fun. Don't just look share some would you?

I am a serious musician. I have a progressive rock/ metal band that I have been playing in for about 3.5 years and after some drummer issues (we are on our 4th one) we are actually starting to get noticed. Our name is Zarathustra and we just finished recording our first album and it is being mastered as we speak.
The single from our record is actually going to be on a compilation album for a minor record label in Jacksonville, FL (Sexy Killer Records). I am pretty excited about it as it will get some air time on several college radio stations around the US....If you want to check out the song you can listen to it on my band's myspace page...www.myspace.com/myzarathustra I am the keyboard/ synth player....if you must look at the pics of the band please realize that I am 55lbs heavier than the pics of me on the site...that was taken last may when I was at my absolute thinnest...total catabolic bean-pole action!

I'm your answer TRAZ! I drum in a band. i have played drums for 10 years. I love it. My favorite music i play to is RUSH. everyone says it's hard, but it's not that hard. just independent.
I used to play baseball til i blew my arm. I was going places with that, too. I have started playing piano, and have played guitar for about 3 years. I kinda suck at guitar by standard of professionalism.

If you like Rush then you would like our band. I am self-taught on the piano and have been playing for like 14 years. I have been playing guitar for about 8 years. I am pretty good on the guitar, but I have lightning speed on the piano...my piano playing speed is probably the only thing in the world that I will ever brag about....

Our band has been compared to Rush several times...We also get comparisons to King Crimson.

sweet. Our band was huge inHS but now we are out of the scene til 2008 (LDS missions coming up). But we have had stuff played on the local radio stations. we aren't really compared to anyone, and I'm guessing because of our diversity in muscial genre, but i like that. We were scheduled to go on a tour last september around the west, but we had to cancell because i had college. hey were gonna pay the band 10K for 2 months. i was pissed we missed. We have played at colleges after basketball games when there are pep ralleys and stuff. Music is great, i love it.

Hobbies...I wish I had the time for them these days. lol But here they are:
art stuff (drawing, painting, etc) skateboaring surfing chillin out to music crazy games of frisbee with my friends classic cars riding go-karts arcade games (i am the pinball queen!!!) gardening laying out in the sun catchin' some rays (yeah its a hobby..lol) writing poetry reading bike riding I'm sure there's more. Just wish I had the time for them all..haha

I like music alot. I have played the piano for about 12 years now. I studied jazz piano at the North Carolina School of Music for about a year. I quit with lessons and such and i just write my own stuff now. I usually dont even write it down, i just sit down and play for an hour or so, just keep making stuff up, or i will repeat the same thing for an hour, its really just relaxing. I took up guitar about a year ago, and i love playing that. I have played bass for about 4 or 5 years now. Next on my list is violin, i picked one up a few months ago and within about 20 minutes was playing along with my friends who were jamming on piano and guitar (it didnt sound super hot, but I could see myself learning it pretty quick).
I really enjoy photography, writing, and reading as well. Anyone else like C.S. Lewis...he is my favorite. My roomate is helping me learn about web design and i am trying to pick up on that a little bit. Its really fun and just good common knowledge to have. I live in the mountains of North Carolina so I love mountain biking. I can just ride around my campus and get some great air and find great hills. Its really great to take it into the woods though and do some downhill riding. Recently, I have decided to change my major to Athletic trianing, so I am trying to learn things about twice as fast because I am going to be a junior before I even start the classes, so i have some catching up to do if i want to graduate on time. So alot of my time is spent researching and learning as much as i can before my classes start. Thats about all for me. oh ya, I wanna join the rugby club next semester. It looks like alot of fun.

I don't know if it is a hobby or not, but I'm obsessed with cars. I'm not really mechanically inclined, but got into the sport compact craze. I don't like the ricer huge wing and sticker stuff, but more performance oriented with a little style. I have a Nissan Sentra Spec V with cold air intake, header, free flow exhaust. Its not the fastest car around, but pretty fast for a NA 4 cylinder and it handles great, gets good gas mileage and tops out around 135. I really want to get the new evo x, but its gonna be expensive, thats one reason I'm going back to school to get a higher paying job. I also like american muscle though, like the mustang, new challenger and camaro coming out in a couple years...
