I don't believe that God killing millions or allowing the deaths of so many has anything to do with defining Him being evil. By us creating the boundaries of what is evil and good, we are proclaiming that we know better than God. I don't think that us as humans are in any place to judge God. We can argue that the way God chooses to deliver His message to us is vague. But we can still say that the recording of it is VERY accurate. The Dead Sea Scrolls have proven that the passing down of the TaNaK(old testament) was done very accurately. God working through fallible people also does not say that God is stupid, but it says that God is gracious and is allowing for humans to have a part in this great plan. And can we really be mad at God for not choosing certain people to enter the kingdom? I once heard a saying which I'll paraphrase. We are all running towards the gates of Hell, and God happens to choose some of us out of those running towards Hell. Who are we to say God was evil in not picking everyone? We are all in rebellion against Him right? So who are we to say that God is evil because not everyone gets the same ending?
And Jesus hasn't returned to take us out of our misery yet but in 2nd Peter chapter 3 it does say that a thousand years are like a day to God and a day is like a thousand years. And Him not coming doesn't mean He doesn't care, he wants everyone to repent and come to Him.
Anyway, I'm not trying to bash on you or anything. I just believe that there is more to the story. Hope you can reconcile with God somehow. But yeah, not tryin to cause conflict or anything. You have the right to your opinon.
