in respect to being the right one, meaning christianity, i dont want to get into it, but i will say this. To act in the name of Christ, you must be given proper authority. You must be accepted into the church by baptism by water, and the gift of the holy ghost by the laying on of hands by those in authority (born again). you must also recieve this authority by the laying on of hands of higher athority. this is according to the bible, new testament. only one christ beleiving church claims this authority, no others do not. I stick with the one that does. Seems best from a logical stand point if you were to go the Christ believing route. One with a prophet and revelation to the people, exactly as before. One with a leadership structure identical to the one that Christ set up(apostles, prophet, priest(bishop), evangelists(patriarchs)). The bible states that in the last days, a restitution of all things will be made. we beleive that through JS, that restitution was made. No other church claims a restitution. the stick of judah(bible) and the stick of joseph(b.o.m.) will be one stick. stick=scriptures. so says the bible. also the bible says that out of the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses will all things be established. the bible is one mouth, b.o.m. is another. both testify in it numerous times that Jesus is Christ, and savior of the world. It is the whole point of the two books. to testify that christ lives and is our savior and has sacrificed the ultimate sacrfice for all men. That by coming unto him, we will have eternal life. Both books testify of this. by thinking of it from this stand point it is faith promoting and logical, if you beleive in the bible, and jesus. my pesonal faith only strengthens sciptural fact even more.

the reason why God made abraham believe that he was sacrificing is son was to test his faith, not to promote child abuse. and issac couldnt have been possibly been scared IMO because he was a faithful believer also (being that he was abe's son..duh that just shows how much patience God has with his people and how much love and faith HE puts into US even though we dont do the same back... prime example :derek whatever that wrote this article loser |

beleifs aside, i find the idea of God very logical. thats me though. you know what i have come to conclude? i have come to the conclusion that the individual beleif of God is based soley on what experiences you have had in life. Some people have an abnormal spiritual experiences that has them absolut;ey convinced that God exists and is who we beleive he is. Others have tough tragedys not accompanied with spiritual experiences and lead them to beleif of nothing out of the known world. some have bad experiencesand only weigh one side of it and conclude with the "evidence" that they have been exposed to. personally, i have had an experience that i wont share in detail, but i am absolutley convinced to the point that i would call it knowledge of the existence of God, and afterlife. it wasnt a short "glimpse" either, but a long experience deeply impressed in my mind. Having said that, i want to tell everyone that, whatever your beliefs are, i respect them and understand why you believe what you do. My own natural human side tends to lean towrds humanistic reason, but my inteligence and experience stands firmly on the other side. I will witness to you through my own personal experience that there is something else besides mortal life, and God, actually the Father of our spirits, is there. We have something to look forward to.

My reasoning for not believing in this "God" is because I've seen acts of brutality, torture, betrayal, and despair forced upon innocent, kind, loving people. Any "God" that forces such an agonizing existence upon another, isn't something/someone I could believe in. Other reasoning is philosophical, extremely in-depth contemplation on the subject. I couldn't hope to explain such complexity across the internet, let alone expect anyone to read through and understand it. That said, I respect that your response to that patronizing comment I made earlier wasn't an insult, thank you.

that is the one concept that a lot of people don't grasp. God does not force acts upon these people. We have been given sole responsibility for our own actioons and noone elses. We have the 100% right to do what we want. God does not put his hand in own personal actions. anything that has happened such as murder, or rape has nothing to do with God. it is the sole choice of the individual. If god were to interfere, he would be taking away an eternal principle of choice/agency. He would cease to be God becaue he has broken a universal law of choice. Let me say this. my faith teaches that before we came to the earth, there was a council in heaven with God the father at the head. he presented us with a plan to come down here, but he needed on to sacrifice for us. Lucifer, or satan, presented a plan that everyone would be forced to choose the right and everyone would return to heaven perfect. Sounds good right? But the problem is we would not choose fo ourselves. the choice would lready be made. Lucifer also wanted the glory to be his. Christ on the other hand volunteered to make the sacrifice, and to carry out the plan that the father presented. Those that chose to follow satan were cast out with him to the earth as his angels. the rest are us who chose to go with god' plan. thats why we have bodies. satan and his angels will never have that right because they forfitted it by making a choice. long tory short, we need to make our own choices. What happens with al the horrible things that happen in this world are soley on the individuals own persona choice. God does not have a hand in letting that person make that choice. Natural disasters on the other hand are different. these disasters were prophecied to happen. they are not necessarily the wrath of god on the people. although god could stop them from happeneing, they happen for a reason that we dont know. we ned to accept that for what it is. if you also mean those that are born into poverty like ethiopia and stuff, i dont quite understand all of it, and the stuff i understand, you surely would not. Another thing is that everyone is born into their right place. some suffer fo reasons unexplained. if it was me, im sure my thought process would be different, but if i had the sme faith i do and was born into a horrible place, i could understand that soone or later, be it death, i would be delivered from it and it can only get better. anyway, bottom line, God doesnt have a hand in the choices of others, but he does know why certain people are bor into harsh existence, and for their own better self. I do have some doctrinal concepts i could share, but i think you may not understand.

i dont like that story in the bible... if someone tells you to murder your child, then i would assume that no matter who they say they are, they are NOT god (christian god)!! also, i like how thats ok, but if your dog tells you to murder people (son of sam) then your just crazy!!!! lol...

that can all be explained. They are grasping at cotton in the wind. allow me. God = Father Jesus= son Us= sons and daughters God created our spirits, and also jesus' spirit, and satan's. that would make all of us spiritually related as brothers and sisters. Jesus created the earth through the direction of the father. God= highest power attainable. Jesus after ressurection, being perfect, attained Godship in his own right making jesus a god. also the father is a God, but the father is the one we worship, not jesus, the son. They are both gods in their respective being. Jesus has a body of flesh and the bible proves that after his ressurection. being a god, like logiclly the father would also have a tangible body, and is not a spirit form, but a form of body. so Father= God, our worshipee Son= God, our advocate(the only way to the father because he mad sacrifice) us= potential eternal life and God. If jesus, once mortal died and became a God, then we too can do the same, but we have the atonement+sacrifce on cross. some may ask why his sacrifice for man kind exceeds that of a man dying for the freedom of hi country and people. the answer i this: Christ was born of a mortal mother, mary and hs biological father i in fact the Father, God. having the ability of death having a mortal mother, and the ability to prevent death, having God as a biological father. his sacrifice was significant more because he had the ability not to die, yet laid his life down. I dont understand the contreversy of the likeness of God and jesus. its plainly obvious. God, father God, jesus |
