nicotine is a stimulant(for the first few hours) and a depressant(when the effects wear off) at the same time..

Thumbs down lol

i dont give a damn what you tell me. cigarettes do NOT help your "endurance". thats the most ridiculous thing i've heard. i dont care if its the president of the u.s.a. or my mother telling me that, i would laugh in BOTH of their faces.people that smoke, have a problem. do you think theyre going to tell you how bad it is to smoke? noo, of course not. no one wants to admit that what they like doing is wrong. lol of course theyre gonna come up with some load of crap like "it help your endurance". i've never heard anything dumber in my life.

honestly, you think someone that is a smoker is going to have more endurance than someone who's never smoked in their life? give me a break...

I think you can train for it I smoked while I was in the Marines, 1.5 packs a day and I could still run our 3 mile pt test in the low 19's, do i think smoking has any bennefit?? Hell no.

I have smoke for 20 years and I am pretty big.
Still quitting though, tired of sucking air.
You can get big but you won't have any endurance.

I used to smoke back in the day (15 now) I gotta say, after a smoke you feel like you can't breathe as deeply and you just plain cannot run that long. It's crazy stuff. It's pretty addictive too, but not as bad as meth, the majority of people who take meth die within a few years of first taking it, and 97% become addicted to it as though it were food and water after only one smoke/injection/snort/etc.

In short, good stuff.

So, can you smoke and achieve your goals too? Ive Never smoked but Id like to know! Any Ideas?
i use to smoke and smoked before and after workouts.. and after i quit.. my workouts would be longer and more intense than when i use to smoke.. which means i had more stamina.. but that's me.. i guess that guy was a one of a kind haha.. but a fact to know is that cigs may help reduce a lot of total body fat.. but wont help your belly fat.. in some cases it will make it even more of a pot belly.. but skinny all around.. i read that in one of my fitness magazine.. so something to think about.. plus it's a killer to your lungs and heart.. and that's something that is very important for ppl who exercise and for ppl in general.

Do NOT smoke. It is NOT good for anyone. Why workout hard Bodybuilding to achieve total good health and then smoke and harm and/or ruin any chances of being your very best? Smoking harms you all along the way and in the end as well. Do not let anyone kid you about that. Anyone that smokes PAYS!

Smoking increases your heart does it not, common knowledge.
When you do cardio, you have to get your heart rate to a certain level before you start burning fat. So in theory, if you had a cigarette or a few for that matter before you start your cardio, your heart rate should be kinda high so would it not burn fat quicker and more efficiently?

It'll starve your blood stream of oxygen (tar/smoke). There is not one physical benefit from smoking.

Maybe if someone stomps on your chest hard enough, you'll start coughing out diamonds.
