Welcome to the BIG BENCH CLUB. This page honors the biggest and heaviest benchers on the planet! These are the guys you hear about benching more than 1000lbs! These are the sports stars you read about that bench twice their bodyweight! These are the local guys at YOUR gym who posess awesome benching power. This page is dedicated to them!

Scott Mendelson

Scott Mendelson a bench press legend and one of the strongest man alive! Scott Mendelson holds more bench press world records than any other man. He's the only guy ever to bench even close to 1000 pounds and have a 6 pack! This page is our tribute to Scott Mendelson.

Scott Mendelson is the current word record holder for the heaviest assisted (with shirt) and unassisted (without shirt) 1 REP bench press. In Febuary 2006 at the Fit Expo Scott Mendelson recorded a huge bench of 1008 pounds, beating the previous record by 3 pounds. Scott Mendelson then attempted 1031 pounds and 1048 pounds but failed. Scott Mendelson's RAW bench press world record still stands at 715 pounds.

Scott just keeps getting stronger! Scott's friends say that soon he will be benching more than 1100 pounds! Here is a list of Scott Mendelson's world records to date:

Heaviest ever bench press at 1008 pounds
Heaviest RAW bench press at 715 pounds
Strongest Intercontinental Lift at 738 pounds
APF/WPO World Record Holder at 825 lbs
Two Time World Champion
Two Time National Champion
First Man to Bench over 800 pounds

That's an impressive bunch of records for Scott Mendelson! And I'm sure there will soon be more added to the collection.

Jamie Harris Bench Press

Jamie Harris bench press tribute page. Jamie Harris is on of the best bench presses and powerlifters that ever competed. He has managed to bench 710lbs RAW - no shirt! With a shirt, Jamie recorded a huge bench of 760lbs. Not only is Jamie Harris bench press huge, he's alsogot some heavy in gym stats. Check out these:

Bench press RAW (no shirt) - 610lbs x 5, 660lbs x 2, 710lbs x 1
Bench press with shirt - 750lbs x 2
Incline bench press - 550lbs x 5, 600lbs x 1
Close grip bench press - 405lbs x 5, 625lbs x 3
Bent over rows - 500lbs x 6
Struct curls - 225lbs x 8 reps
Lat pulldowns 400+lbs

Pretty impressive stats for Jamie. The big man has since retired from powerlifting. Jamie Harris bench press max still stands at 760lbs. When he set this personal best he weighed in at 357 pounds! Jamie still trains hard but has shifted to more bodybuilding workouts rather than powerlifting.

Default Mike Kudla Bench Press

Mike Kudla Bench Press

Mike Kudla bench press page. Mike Kudla is possibly the strongest man that's ever played for the Buckeyes! Mike Kudlas bench press definately holds the top spot at the club. After only recently recovering from a serious shoulder injury, Mike Kudla posted a huge bench press of 610 pounds RAW! This makes him the biggest bencher in the club by far!

Mike Kudlas speed and incredible strength make him a force to be reckoned with in the defensive half. Not many men, let alone football players, can bench press more than double their own weight.

Default Tiger Woods Bench Press

Tiger Woods Bench Press

Tiger Woods bench press is reported to be around the 300 pound mark. Tiger has been weight training since he was 21. He keeps his training very private and very few photos have ever been taken on him working out (see below). When asked about his bench press and workouts, Tiger refused to give out any details. Though about a year ago Tiger said his bench was 240+. Tiger's personal trainer estimated Tiger Woods bench press (1 REP MAX) to be around the 300 pound mark.

Tiger Woods bench press is not the only thing thats big. Since he started working out in when he was 21, Tiger has put on a massive 30 pounds of muscle. He now weighs in at a little over 190 pounds. When researching Tiger Woods bench press we failed to find any solid evidence that he can actually bench that much. However, we were about to get a hold of some rare pictures of him working out.

Default Earl Boykins Bench Press

Earl Boykins Bench Press

Earl Boykins bench press is 315lbs! This weeks spotlight is on Earl Boykins bench press. Earl Boykins has a huge bench press for his weight. At a tiny 133lbs. (60.3 kg), Earl have a 1 REP MAX bench press of 315 lbs! That's almost 2.5 times his bodyweight. Earl has the rcord for being the smallest player in the NBA.

When researching Earl Boykins bench press we could not find any solid evidence (like pictures or videos) that he can actually bench that much. Some sources even reported that he benched over 500lbs - which is obviously not true. Here are some Earl Boykins stats and pictures. When you see his size, it's amazing to think his bench is anywhere near the 300lb mark.

Most people dont even have 1070 as a total let alone trying to bench it, its just not human.
