What are the best gym lifts to do if you were training for a strongman compition, but didn't have any of the equipment?

l love the fact that strength training seems to be going back to its roots - of simply lifting lumps of iron, wood, stone - whatever, to build core strength. So many people think that you have to have sqaut rack and olympic weights to build strength, but you could use tyres, sandbags, punchbags, or just carry rocks and boulders - if you can find some.
