Ergogenomic is just really nice
Default Look out Pfister, here I come!

Haha.....we'll see.

I haven't started a thread since I have been on this board so I decided to share my first training video with all of y'all.

I have been lucky enough to be welcomed to Team Barbarian, a strongman training group situated in Toronto. With their knowledge, experiences, and support I plan on competing within the next few years as my comfort with the implements grows.

Just a foreword, I in no way consider myself strong so please do not think this is a bragging thread. Just keep this thread in mind in a few years when I become WSM

Age: 22
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 240lbs

YouTube - Derek "Softy" Soffe

We only did four implements during my first session:

Atlas stone: they think it is around 225-230lbs

Tire flip: they have 800 written on it but from competition experiences, believe it to be closer to 900lbs

Log press: 190lbs (I know, I really need to improve on this one)

Farmer's walk: 250lbs per hand

Man thats awesome. Best of luck to you. I would love to see you keep a training log here! Especially if you throw in video's. I know this site isnt really a strongman forum, but it would be really cool, and my inspire a few people to try and compete for your WSM title.

FYI Terry Hollands visits the board once in a while.

Thanks everyone. I'm just starting out but the guys think I have great potential.

Apparently the neighbours are fine with it although when they park their cars close to the area where the tire is being flipped, the vibrations on the ground set off the alarms.

Just got a +900lbs tire and loading pin. Now I can do tire flips, log press, power stairs, duck walks, farmers walks, sled pulls, and general fun with the sandbag at my home.

I'm looking to make a good showing in competition next year!!!
