Default sumo squat - 335x3

How does it look? Back straight enough, any advice, suggestions. It is the most I have ever done without a belt or anything, that was also my third and final set. So it still felt relatively easy. Because its is a sumo stance, its is hard for my body to physically go much lower with my legs that wide, but for anyone who goes to comps or something, would that lift get a green light, the depth i mean?

thanks

Looks good to me but seems like you could have got 335 for like 6. That was way to easy. lol

well, i am just progressing. Last week 315x3x3 felt kinda heavy, i was just really energetic tonight. My current max is 355, so i think i could smoke that now.

I cant speak from a comp standpoint but i think you should go a little lower. Looks pretty solid other than that.

ya mitch, i agree, its not as low as I thought now that I see it from the side. Its never bad to go lower.

my squat a tiny bit past parallel wasnt it? Well anyways, that is my wide stance too, it gets a little lower when i bring feet in, i guess its time to really work on my stretching, and getting down there lower.

I dont think the first one was but I think the last was. Im finding i dont like sumo squats cause it causes me to bend over too much at the waist. I prefer a closer stance.

when my stance gets closer the pressure on my knees gets really bad. Also, the closer my feet get, the more i bend over, if i get a "normal" stance, I bent over far too much, i seem to be able to keep my back straightest when doing sumos.

You keep it much straighter than i do on sumos.

I agree with mitch, I was going to say that rep 1 looks the worst in terms of _depth_ 2 looks just about || and 3 looks || or better

I also agree it looked pretty easy for you, great job making progress

Wayne,

That was simple bro. Nice work. You have a white boy's ass. Grow some glutes and you'll be doing 600. That's the ONLY weakness I see (lack of glute activation). From that view, it appears you have good hip and lower back strength. I'm certain of the lb, but the hips usually need a different filming view (kind of diagonal from the back).

All in all, good work.

Form looked good other than the fact that you need to go lower, much lower.

I don't think you would have gotten green with any of those reps (maybe the last one).........drop that ass down Wayne!

Although I'm not Boyd I think you'd benefit from blasting some glute-hamstring raises, also pull throughs seems to do the trick.

Not really much to criticize. Looks like you might be able to go lower. What type of shoes are those? They look like running shoes with possibly an elevated heel. I can't squat in that chit. I squat and deadlift in my Allstarts, it helps me stay back and keep my balance.
