Default First to 3000 Total

Who will be the first to the seemingly unreachable 3000 Big 3 Total?

Personally, I think it will be John Bernor. He squats close to 1200 & deads/benches close to 800.

What is everyone else's opinion........PJ - is this one of your goals as a Powerlifter?

Discuss!

@ Powerjim;

hmm..Bart Boggia?

3000 total..? Uy..I think it'll take a bit. Aren't we at 2700 or so at the moment? That in itself is nasty. Very nasty. and aditional 300 pounds...uh boy.

This guy John Bernor, isn't his total around 2600? he was in the low 700's for his dead and bench if I remember correctly (he had some sort of a grip problem when doing deads, mentioned it in a n interview.)

Man...if only the Kaz had some Pl'ing offspring...lol, that would be the stuff.

No not at the moment, its all for my own personal enjoyment. To tell the truth i feel very dishearten with Powerlifting because its an unclean sport like most sports, Powerlifters gain a great deal from Steroids as far as strength goes, im even gonna say Pro Powerlifters need the roids just as much as Pro Bodybuilders.

I know what you mean about the steroids. John Hansen who's the "natural" Mr Olympia used to use roids. As a past user surely that gives him an advantage over guys that have never used anything before, that's if he ever stopped using roids! I don't know what the big fuss was when Marius got his medal took off him in WSM surely when he failed the drug test. Most of them if not all of them are on some kind of performance enhancing substance aren't they!?

What's your powerlifting total at the moment POWERJIM?

I always think if they are pros then they are seasoned steroid users, they start off as really strong people who get an interest in weight training and developing their natural strength, however at the level of strength they end up with its super natural, hows a natural strongman gonna get to compete in WSM if his up against Strongmen who has the Test of 10 men flowing through him?

PS. Im always looking for pin marks on the top Strongmen.

Oh! Cheers thanks for the heads up. Not everyone puts up videos. I'd have no reason to doubt him seems like a knowledgable guy. Besides us English blokes don't lie!

That would be super-impressive. I'd bet the raw total record is probably in the 2200-2300 range, but I'm not sure.

Does Scot Mendelson do all-around meets anymore? He benches close to 1000 and I believe I read he's got a 1000 pound squat, so he'd theoretically be in the ballpark for a 3000 total.
