Question PowerLifting Questions

Ok... im thinking about getting into power lifting... im 16.. so i dont have very much knowledge about it.. i know its basically bench, dead lift, and squat.... but i was wondering... it doesnt seem like your working your arms, well.. u would work your tri's on bench but what about biceps?.. idk... im just kinda confused... does powerlifting still get you strong all over? and.. will certain body parts like your arms and all still get bigger?

i read the sticky but its still kinda confusing..

Sounds like you want to do Bodybuilding, maybe chuck in some low rep work into your normal Bodybuilding routine if you have one.

You still train with assistance work after squats, bench, and deadlift. Check out my journal, I'm training for a push/pull meet next month so I'm not really doing much squats right now but I'm doing a basic powerlifting routine

take a look in my journal. I train more like a power lifter than most of the guys here, check out vengeances journal as well. I still do some biceps just for the heck of it, not much at all, but some if i feel the need. But basically, do focus on 3 main lifts.

i sorta follow a powerlifting routine as well, only becuase i find strength gains more enjoyable than "cuts". you'll get big from powerlifting, I'm sort of an easy gainer, deads have done wonders for me.

if you were going to become a powerlifter the look of your biceps and triceps wouldnt matter much to you. powerlifting is all about strength not appearance. if you want to get stronger incorporate alot of low rep deads, squats, and bench and youll get bigger and stronger. just throw in some isolation excersizes when your done the big lifts. but its important to have other compound lifts for strength and appearance like t-bar rows, bb rows, weighted pullups, weighted dips, military press etc...
