For example in the atlas stones he often uses his huge stomach to rest the large stones on as he attempts to get them up. Due to his weight he often tires easily and in some events he has fallen to the ground as a result of exhaustion.

Ross has appeared on several TV shows, including Kelly Show, They Think it's All Over, the John Daley Show, Harry Hill's TV Burp and Celebrity Big Brother's Big Mouth.

Ross is married with two children.

I bet that waist measurement is under his belly cus there's no way his waist is "only" 50 inches! You're telling me his waist is only twice the size of his arm?! I had a 40 inch waist once and i was only 205 lbs at 6 ft. He's a great strongman that's for sure, especially in the static lifts where he can use his bodyweight to his advantage. I think he would be a better overall strongman if he lost some bodyweight because the WSM has a lot of mobility events that he doesn't do well in at the moment. He's about 6 stone heavier than big Terry Hollands and 5 or 6 inches shorter! Give Terry another couple of years and he's gonna be a serious contender for the WSM title because he's got natural strength and size as well as mobility.

Yeah i was thinking that his waist must be at least 60 inches, Glenn just aint suited to Strongman and i really wish he would move over to Powerlifting, Terry Hollands has that right balance of huge bodyweight and cardio fitness that will win him the WSM title in time.

"Yeah i was thinking that his waist must be at least 60 inches" Glad it wasn't just me that thought that. If he's put a false waist measurement on his profile then he is obviously ashamed of it. If that is the case he should do something about it IMO.

I never believe any measurements that either Strongmen or Bodybuilders give out, i dont think his ashamed of his belly cos look at that top pic , his showing it off!

as he admits, uses his gut to assist his lifts... being fat has some pay of i guess.
still not a fan of glenn ross, sure he is strong and rules STATIC lifts but put him on anything where he has to waddle to a weight and bring it back he's going to do a hindenburg on the floor

he will have all sorts of heart problems, diabetes and bone issues soon due to the amount of fat he's lugging around. Its a shame as he seems like a good guy.

says it all....

whats the odds of the next UK's strongest man involving 90% static lifts?

ya, i am sure he is a beast....but all that extra weight, it doesnt seem worth it. He could try to lose 80-100 lbs of fat, and maybe lose some strength, but he will have a longer life, and be able to not pass out when he runs, and probably be happier, but who knows.

Yeah but maybe pro Bodybuilders could stop using Drugs and loose some size, but hey they would live longer.
