Having a bit of a gut and technically being "fat" are 2 different things.
That guy was an idiot! I can walk into any grocery store and I'll show you someone who is fat

I'd rather have lots of muscle and a belly than have skinny arms and a small waist.

But who the hell cares? Does that guy think Terry cares how he looks?
Fark no! And he probably cares even less about what some punk says about him on a web board.

Terry only cares how well he competes and how strong he can get and thats all that matters.

I dont think the public know the difference between strongman and Bodybuilding, even on Channel Five some d!ckhead Commentator said that Arnold used to compete in WSM back in the day, why dont they get people that know about the sport to commentate on it.

Lol I can't believe someone on a bodybuilding board is going on about BMI, haha. That site really is full of idiots.

Haha I just looked at that guy's bb.com profile and... 'BB Accomplishments: Gaining enough weight so my BMI is in the overweight category' Lol.

Typical internet tough guy, maybe he thought it would be hard to call a man whose 10x stronger than he will ever be a tub of lard, bodybuilders like that should stick to watching Ronnie Coleman: The Cost of Redemption, as they obviously have no idea about strongman/Powerlifting.

Stoneman Sam is a jewel in the rough
Default re:

Well, that was fun to read. I didn't think Hollands was fat this year, most strongmen look like that, you NEED a belly to rest that log on when you continental it to your chest.

And BMI, according to BMI I should have been dead 5 years ago. I am still "obese" / "morbily..." depending on the day.

I think to be a World class strongman you have to be over 300 pounds, just to do the pulls you need to have mass to move the trucks. The lighter (260-290, if you can call that light ) guys this year really struggled with the truck pull. You also need to be over 6' tall, otherwise you won't do well in toss and loading events.

I think general viewers or uninformed people such as that guy automatically see powerlifters largeness as fat. I would imagine a lot of people walking down the street would see a PL and off hand assume it is fat not muscle.

But for someone to look at a person in a competition like wsm and call them fat is idiocy.

To play devils advocate to a degree there are a lot of guys who consider themselves powerlifters that are downright obese to the point where it is not healthy. For instance there are guys in my gym that think benching 315 on max is badass even though they weigh 350lbs or more.

His with IFSA and dont do Met-Rx Strongest man no more, Glenn Ross is one of the top ten lifters in the world as his strength is all static really, his in no condition for strongman and should move over to Powerlifting.

Glenn Ross in his Bodybuilding days...

You will know the difference between someone who dont lift anything but a pint, to someone who trains the 3 powerlifts no matter what their bodyfat is.
