I did a bunch of running this summer including tons of uphill running. I lost a little weight from the running and from not much lifting.

Currently, at age 43, I'm at:

Bench 315 X 3 (PR: 315 X 10; 335 X 8; 365 X 3; 405 X 1)
Squat 365 X 5 (PR: 405 X 10; 365 X ?; 495 X 3)
Deadlift (who knows?) (PR 465 X 1)

I'm a little frustrated as I'm trying to get my lifts back up but it doesn't come as quickly as when I was in my 30's. I weigh about 205 right now. I seem to enjoy cardio more than lifting these days, which is kind of weird.

Just lifted at a deadlift only competition. I will get a video up later, i think someone taped me, well i hope they did at least.

my lifts:
445
485 (PR)
510 (PR)

so ya, good PR's for me, and to be honest, i had more in me, 510 came up smooth and fast, and without any hitches, which means i prolly coulda had 525 or something like that. i rested 5 days before the meet which helped a lot. i had a lot of fun.

Decided to test my Incline press today. (DB's)

100's x 7

this was after my normal bench work and a set with 95's so im sure i could have pushed more.

Either way though... this is by far a pr for me!

On Wednesday at 1:26pm, I benched 500lbs. My goal was June 1, 2008, and I decimated it. My weight was 238 (not my best per lb bench, the first time I benched 405 I only weighed like 184). But I don't give a **** about that, the 500 is a club that not too many people will ever reach.

I took a vid of me nailing 315x20 a few weeks ago but I think I might've deleted it. No, I didn't vid it - Gold's banned me from videoing when me and Hank were videoing ourselves doing 115s or 120s on db shoulder press. On a different note, on the same day I benched 500 I did 130s on db shoulder press for 5. Fresh, I bet I can do a set of 7-8 with 135s.

Crazy... I wish I could do that...

130s for shoulder press.. I can't even flat press that... That would break my neck again.

Getting them up and in position is by far the hardest part of the lift. If I have a good bud lifting with me (that's strong) He can hand them to me in the starting position. But when you have to pop them up yourself (and even if you get help out of the hole) you're asking for something bad to happen.

What do you take for your joints? I imagine lifting that heavy would be hard on the joints.

I take a multi. That's the ONLY supp I'm taking right now. I haven't had any serious issues here of late, I just don't load heavy, nonstop (I deload often). I slam heavy for 4-6 weeks and deload 1-2 weeks. I keep getting stronger and stronger and the down time helps me recover nicely.

LOL - you pay to park at mine too, but not cash. Leave your car unattended for too long and those f*cks from New Orleans (Katrina refugees) will break into it... It's in a nice part of town, they just bird dog it.

All I have to do is catch them IN THE ACT... What a Christmas present for me...

New Bench PR today

315 x1

wasn't the smoothest press I've done, but i got i locked it out...
Im pretty jacked up about the PR, but even more then that im just glad that my lifts are improving in spite of the cut.
