Gave the squat and the deadlift a shot this week after my first two month cycle on the Westside program. Was able to get 415 up on the deadlift, which was great, as I was only really hoping for 405. Tried the squat today, and got 315 for one solid rep, which was a new PR for me. I gave 335 a shot, but pretty much collapsed under the weight, and heard a big crack out of my right knee. It doesn't feel so hot right now, but I don't think it's anything serious. I'll try benching again thursday.

I finally made progress. I haven't done a true max, but I do add on weight with each set. My bench right now is 435 x 3(Smith machine, which I'm thinking on a free weight bench would be 405). My squat is still at 455 x 5 and my deadlift is at a pathetic 315 x 8. I can't seem to improve much there for some reason. My back hurting like hell has a lot to do with it though, so much so that I can barely walk afterwards. I think my form my be off. I envy you guys who are pulling 400+ lbs on the dl.

Thanks, I'll try to get a vid of myself asap. Hopefully I can get someone to record it for me. It's either my form or I'm just trying to lift too much too soon. Still not used to doing them. But yeah, the dl's and stiff legged dl's kill me to the point where I have to stop afterwards and struggle to my car.

Not exactly one of the big the three but I recently did dips (parallel bars) with 40 kilos (88lbs) attached to me for 5 reps.
