Oh snap, I am little league on here with you big guys..
I am not big on the big lifts, but I did hit 45 pounds on the Tbar and thats without a spot. Its not much weight for you big fellas, but for me, by the 4th set, 6th rep well I needed a little help. My strength is increasing a bit, cuz I have been using heavier weight with all my sets.. instead of starting real light and increasing, so I guess that is an accomplishment

So i finally hit 300 tonight on bench. No video, so its not legit, but whatever, i practice powerlifting form, it was controlled, no downward motion, no bounce off chest. It felt great to finally hit 300.

At the beginning of January i hit 275 and tried 300, couldnt even get it off my chest, and i hit it tonight after hitting 285. I have been doing some rack work and shoulder presses this semester (first time ever) and my bench is skyrocketing, i love it.

I'm at 220lbs now on bench, its no big deal to most but for a 130lb guy like me it is a little. Now to just start some PR's on squat...

I haven't done a max on the bench, but so far I've squatted 455lbs. Tried 505lbs, lifted it off the rack but had to put the sum'bich down! And this was after doing 5 reps of 455 so I don't know why 505 felt so much heavier!

Want to do a bench max but I never have a partner/spot I'll post that soon, though.

Yes, I'm a bootleg powerlifter

I don't... I asked one guy for a spot on my squats and he declined. I don't blame him. I need to find a partner quickly but having a rough time at it. That's why I really don't have a max with anything. No help...

I dont use a spotter either when squatting. I do em in the power rack so if i get stuck i just set the weight down.

same here. My ATG squat is about 5 inches above bars, so if its too heavy, just lean forward and i am rack the weight.

hmmm...that's a great idea. I see some using it but never thought to use it myself. go figure...

does the resistence take away from the lift at all? I usually do a lot of bench using it, simply so I can work to failure since I don't have a spotter.

Does benching on a power rack count? How much weight do I subtract or does it even matter?

The thing i love about being a newbie, is that every session is gets a new PR. that will start to come to an end eventually though. My aim is to be benching 110 kg for 5 reps buy 10th May. lol. At the mo i'm doing 70 kg for 5. me thinks i have some way to go...
