Also I think you're leaning over the bar too much which encourages the round back and puts more stress on it, you wanna almost sit back as you set up so your glutes and hams tighten up before you lift. That's how I see it anyhow, glad to see the vids, I'm afraid to stick any up of me The 345 looked legit but I'm not a judge!
Hey thanks for the tips, actually a guy at the gym who was training someone gave me very similar pointers after watching me make my attempts, It's still a very new lift for me, less than 2 months or so, I'd love for improving my form to allow me to lift even more!

I give it a white. Can't remember who the other 2 judges were. lol

Dude, you could probably do much more weight if you corrected a few things with your form. jproudj gave you good tips above.

- Sit back much more. You should feel like you would fall over backwards if you were to let go of the bar.
- To sit back far and keep your back straight, you will need to start much lower. To get it off the ground, you need to use leg drive and push your hips.
- You should feel like you are pulling the weight up AND back toward you.
- Bar should be rubbing against the shins as you go up.

Congrats on the PR Weee!

Hey was that 24hr Fitness in Sherman Oaks? That gym looks familiar.

Well nice lift and with the advice that was given, that number will surely rise.
None the less, pretty good for only 2 months

That gym is freakin massive, it looks bigger than the shopping centres here. Do you still have problems finding a free bench?

Anyone out there know how to make vids brighter? I took a couple vids of deads in the garage on Friday. They looked fine on the camera, but when I pulled 'em off it looks like I was deadlifting in the dark. lol

Jlo I use windows movie maker to edit my vids, AFter uploading drag and drop them to the lower time line/story board, On the menu screen #2 edit video click on video effects on that menu that pops up drag and drop the brighten option onto the windows you have below.

Ok, here is 405x4. I have 475x1 on youtube, but it is taking forever to "be available". Will link that when it comes up.

YouTube - 405x4 Conv. Dead

Note - the initial video looked like I was lifting in the dark, so I had to add brightness. Makes it look kinda strange (like the room is full of smoke or something). lol. Yes, I know I need to clean up my garage.

Ok, here is 475x1. Couldn't get my left strap off at the end, lol. Shows how long it has been since I have f*cked with straps. My son decided to use the chalk in the bathtub, so I was out.

Had to shut it down after the 475 single, because I wasn't even supposed to be lifting.

Nice, looks like you could have squeezed a couple more reps on both of those.
