people are often shocked by the routines of a lot of strongman, they see bicep an tricep exercises n wonder why they are doing them, thinking thats what bodybuilders do - you dont get to be the size of the daddy without building your body up, weight moves weight, an both biceps and triceps are important to a strongman, you have to target certain muscles in order for you to improve your events

id love to see ross doing dips! what the hell does he do them on?? can a basic dips station handle that much weight? i always think mines about to snap an im an ant compared to him

would it be possible for a short person to be as strong as glen ross? or does being shorter = being weaker?

its glenn

well, 99% of people are not gonna be as strong as glenn ross whatever there height, but shorter does not have to = weaker, it can often give bigger numbers because theres less distance to the finish..but good strongmen are usually over the 6 foot mark

Being shorter just means a disadvantage in some events and an advantage in others.

when people say your based on genetics, what exactly does that mean? when talking about muscle. i mean, i know some people naturally have bigger legs, wrists, neck, etc. so i guess in bodybuilding, being taller = bigger muscles (is that to say a short person can't have the same size biceps as a tall person both of which are 100% clean- or taller people always have bigger muscles because there muscles are longer). i know people take steroids to increase their muscle size but muscle size dosent = more strength. so will my strength ever reach a maximum or can i press my body to the absolute max and always get stronger (lets say after 20 years, my strength will go up- even if its a few pounds)?
