nice routine, lots of event work

yeh, the man was one of the most powerful men to ever live, some of his feats will be very hard for any to match, he was just insane on the yoke race

im a real big fan of big maggy, his worlds strongest arms dvd is great, inspired me very much to close the ironmind #4 with a wider set than him, an to power curl an neg more than him haha

i love that guy tho, hes just amazing, svends great in it too, i emailed svend (left his email for fans on marunde muscle) an hes not replied..kinda annoyed at that cuss he said he would answer any questions, an i only asked a couple, an told him how much of a fan of his i am + thanked him for inspiring me (ive seen every wsm hes been in)...he may not have got it or something tho

i used to think he had the best grip ever, but in actual fact david horne has the best grip of all time, an everything maggy has done grip wise has been beat, the best anyone has done on a #4 is on this page - tommy heslep has nearly closed a #4 no set (never been done) - http://www.cyberpump.com/gallery/album87?page=1

im sure ill eventually have the best grip of all time, i dont think theres too many people now that have better strength endurance than me, ive never heard of 32 reps on the #2 (there will be people that have done more)..theres not a massive amount of people that can close a #3 like i can either, im very close to no setting it, only been 2 certs this year..gimmy a few years an there will be no doubt, plate wrist curl (great exercise for arm wrestling, and strongman) record will be smashed asap, thats the first to go down

yeh thats pretty impressive because of your bulk, large powerlifters cant usually close grippers because of the size of there palms - ive handed my grippers to many people, one of which was a 5 foot something, near 300lb powerlifter ( he had a 300 kilos raw squat) an he couldnt even close the #1..the average guys limit is the trainer

i actually closed my #3 first time trying, although i did have a #3 before, but its rediculously hard for a #3, good for getting from the #3 to the #4 tho as its prob 3.4 even now after loads of use..first time i tried it i could do double figures with no set on the #2 but could barely move the handles at all haha i was so confused

jesse closed his @ 18 yes, the youngest guy was 14 tho, theres been about maybe 12 teenagers to do it properly, i think theres something like 8 or 9 certed (cert used to be miles easier, only 1 with current rules i think) - my close @ 19 is poor compared to some, but 6 months of grip training to get it isnt bad

im not one who trains just for grip, i train everything, i think grip is important for strongman tho, an i just happen to have a good grip, i figure if i get my grip to be the best theres ever been, i can hold on to anything / dont have to worry about that side of it..plus is be nice to have world records

Training the grip is a great idea for strongman and i think Dominic Filiou has some major grip issues which lets him down, i myself dont really put myself out to train the grip yet i just cant seem to find the time for it, my focus is more about getting my core strength up, although to have your grip strength would be more than helpful for deads etc.

its probably because hes so damn big with his grip, people think big hands = strong grip, but when your 430 odd pounds normal things just dont fit in your hands

speaking of jesse, he recently said strong grip eventually leads to a strong back - i agree

i cant just crush a coke can in 1 hand if thats what you mean, not yet..the hardest goal of mine is probably to crush a raw spud in one hand (no finger tips) as its thought of as impossible
