Hi there, I'm a newbie... I've used this site a couple times when I had supplement ?'s and then I started looking around and there's a lot of cool stuff here! Well, about me; 6'0", 220lbs, 25 years old. Been lifting weights my whole life. I used to for sports and I've been on and off body building for 4 years now. About 2 years ago I decided I wanted to bulk up (I was 175lbs). So I did, now I've got a little more fat than I wish I had. Now I'm working to get rid of the love-handles.

Default another newbie

Hi all, i'm new to the site, I have not had a chance to look around much but I think I'll like it here. I'm a 36 yr old single dad, a little over weight but loosing(size). I've been going to the local YMCA for about two months now and i'm feeling alot better. My main concern right now is proper diet. I'm trying to loose the weight and still have the energy for my work out. i have an unusual schedule, I work midnights as a millwright 40 miles from home, I sleep in the morning then go to the Y. It started with three days a week but now i'm going five(gotta have it!). I start with 20 mins on the stairmaster all five days keeping my HR at 70%. I then go into my work out. I'm trying to put together a diet that will get me thru all of it and still burn off the fat. Thanks

Default I am new!

Hi guys,
I am brand new to the site. I was "googling" information about arm exercise, and your site came up! I am a 23 year old graduate student of psychology. I started to exercise in January and have lost 13 pounds. I am now 5'4", 119 pounds. My goal is 110-115! So close! I am concentrating on having very shapely, cut arms. I am doing one exercise for my biceps, triceps, and delts three times per week. I am using 5 pound free weights, three sets of 25-30 reps. I am toying with stepping up the weight. Any suggestions? Also, I jog/walk three miles per day (45 minutes) 5 times per week (outside, not treadmill). I eat pretty much what I want, only on cola per day, though. Hope to get some great info!

Welcome, sonicbum... feel free to start a journal in the "member training diaries" forum.

For the best possible input from people, be sure to list your current condition: height, weight, age, etc., your "exercise history": what kind of routine you do, or have done in the past, and your current diet.

Looking forward to your participation on the boards!

Default what up

Hey everyone. I am not as interested on bodybuilding as i am on improving my overall PFT (Physical Fitness Test) for the Marine Corps. I have just joined and have not gone to boot camp yet, but i will be next year, and i can maybe get promoted if i have a perfect score. A PFT consists of a three mile run, pull ups, and as many crunches as you can do in a two minute time period. my crunches and run are improving nicely, but i seem to have hit a wall where pull ups are concerned. I need at least twenty for a perfect score, and im at thirteen...

Default Aloha from Hawaii

Aloha Everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myslef. I'm a competitive Natural Bodybuilder here in Hawaii. I recently won my Pro card with the PNBA and will be going to Vegas to compete in the Natural Olympia in November. I've been training for about 18 years now, and I must say the body gets better with age.
