Hi, I am Cockydude07, new here after lurking a bit to see what is good here. I had a regular weight program until I was nearly killed in an auto accident in 1997. After the bone fusion surgery in neck at four levels, I stopped working out. Now I know I need to get back due to some health problems (spinal stenosis, heart, etc.) and proceeding slowly. I want tips on how to work out around a torn rotator cuff in right shoulder and herniated disc in lower back.
It hurts to bend my back, but wonder if very light good morning rows would still help strengthen that area. I am very thin although I went from 128 pounds to 146 the past two years, mostly from eating more, drinking more wine, and being a couch potato. Would appreciate any tips. I read in another post in this thread that someone is taking DHEA and creatine. I am under the care of an endocrinologist and he has me on adrogel (testosterone) cream. He wants me to take DHEA. All I can find is 25 mg DHEA in my drug store. Is there a higher potency DHEA to take? Or is the 25 mg one just as good? How many times per day do I need this? I think I saw a DHEA formula that has "7-Keito" whatever that is. On the supps thread I asked about masszymes endorsed by Wade McNutt, a champion, who claims great gains as compared to steroid guys. Any of you tried this one? I don't want to spend money on bogus stuff. I will have more questions later. Hope I can handle the weights at the Y, but it might be that this type of exercise is not for me due to the shoulder injury (inoperable) and bad back. I wonder about the new vibrating machine by Soloflex. Anyway, I am open to new ideas and encouragement from you folks here. I am looking forward to learning from you folks. 'Ello all-
Another newbie. To get to the point, im here becuae I need advice. I've spent many glassy eyed hours looking for tips on the good ol' web and I still cant answer a single question. So I thought asking other people would get me better results. I could proubably answer them by picking through the many threads on here but I though I'd just ask. ^_^. Alright! I use to weigh something around 320lbs of nothing but fat. Then I got a job as a stocker at a grocery store and worked my ass off. I started losing weight and realy likeing it. After about a year I was down to a little over 200lbs. Then, about fourteen months ago, I bought some weights and started working out. I love it. Now, I work out every single day I have the chance. Atleast five-six days a week. Sometimes i'll go on ten day stretches ware everynite I lift. My first question is; what would be the best full body routine i can do everyday? I read some tips that i should rotate and do different muscles each day and i tried that...i didnt like it...i like full body routines, real ass kickers....so... anyone have any sagestions? Keep in mind money is hard to come by 'round here so buying equipment is out of the quetion... |

Hi guys! Just came across this site, and must say looks great. I hope it can help me improve my workouts. Something about me: I've been working for two years, and recently i tried to work more seriously, but i was not sure what exactly to do, and so i did some web searching and i came across this site... I'm 6' 200lbs but I think I have to drop some 10-15lbs of fat. Two years ago I was 165 and I was almost without muscles

I have been a long time visitor but just joined up today. I look forward to meeting everyone and learning new info on supps, nutrition, and training. I have a degree in nutrition and have been in the iron game for a while, so if I can help anyone out, I definitely will.
