Thanks hey you sound like you already met your goals how long did it take for you to see results?
Im at 212 lbs (lost 5 lbs so far) at that weight can you tell how much body fat you have?and if so whats the average body fat ?

Default Hello to all

Hello all and thanks for the warm welcome! I am new to this forum as well as to weight lifting. Only been working out for about a month. I have a good routine that I am using just to stay active and not get burned out, but I just seem to be impatient as I am sure most people are when they first start out. I want to see the results. None. That I can see anyways.

So I guess I wanna ask, how long after your first workout will it be before you start to see that improvement?

I feel it after every workout too. I am sore and I have heard that is a plus. I am just annoyed that maybe there is something I am missing. Well thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to the future, because with great advice comes great results...

Give yourself a few months...you will see progress it you keep up the intensity. Make sure to get plenty of sleep and protein. See you around!

Found this site last night, looks like good stuff. I was on active duty for 18 mos. and put on about 20 pounds and looked good. Then I came into some stomach problems and change in lifestyle for about 7 mos. Now I'm back in college and hittin the weights hard again. Only into my second week now, but I'm loving it again. Hell of a leg workout Monday, can still barely walk. Need to get back on my subliments. Thanks for having me. Where can i put more pictures on here?

Found this site today...what a great point of reference! I'm 50, former 3 weight class(es) powerlifter, in the best shape of my life, looking for insight into bodybuilding nutrition and supplementation and making some friends in the iron age.

Default Whats up!

I stumbled on to this site trying to find customer reveiws on supplements. I'm in my early 30's currently in the military. I've been working out, besides my normal Physical Training @6am, moderatly for a couple of year but recently decided to take body building seriously. I've found its hard as hell to make some decent gains when your running 8-10 miles a week. There seems to be a wealth of knowledge and expeirence here and I'm looking foward to possible making some new friends.

Hey, im 16 and been weight training for 5 or 6 months. I started when i was about 14 but during football i shattered cartilage in my lower back, which needless to say put me out for quite a bit of time. This is my first post, i have to start off by saying this site has the most amount of knowlegable people when it comes to body building. Onto the good stuff, im not sure if i should have started a new thread or not , however it has been anwsered in many diffrent shapes and forms thourghout the site, but im looking to get muscle mass. However lacrosse season is starting soon and on average well be running at least 2 miles a day plus sprints and all that "fun" stuff. Needless to say taking up 6 days a week i dont think im going to be in the condition to hit the gym. Is there anyway to preserve and of the muscle mass i have gained over the last few months? Second would it be benificial to go on a cutting cycle during this time, or would that just terminate all my newley earned muscle? Thirdly, if this is not enough i was curious if you can stack gakic with other supps, and should i stay on creatine for cutting(if its a good idea) and/or lax season?

much thanks

if you are doing so much running do not cut right now just bulk as much as possible, you will lose it anyway. Keeping a lot of muscle and runninig a lot do not mix too well, unfortunately. I order to preserve try to eat your weight in protein (ex, 150 lbs = 150 grams of protein daily). Make sure you eat enough calories to maintain all the running you will be doing. Unfortunately, you have to lift twice a week to maintain some of your muscle! Do 2 sets of 10 reps for every major lift. Take creatine to gain my friend, all other supps throw them away and buy a good high calori powder mix and lots of food from the supermarket.

Default Hi from a newbie

Hi all. Im a 45 year old guy with about 6 months of weightlifting training behind me so yes I am a newbie. One thing I am very happy with is that my 16 year old son has taken an interest in this sport so now we are training partners for our workouts which we do in our garage. Thanks for having me and I am going to just keep working and learning.
