Only if your asking things that have been asked over and over(check the stickies) or your spamming.

I guess mine is overdue. I'm 5'11, 225lbs, 37, male.
I began seriously working out two years ago after a split with my fiance. I through myself into the gym and went from 280 to 230 in about four months. Since then I have been varying my workout to see what will help me best reach my goal which is 195 with a balance of muscle weight. Not too big but big enough.
The working out help me deal with things immensly and seeing other folks taking charge of their health was quite empowering! Since then I hit the gym 6 days a week alternating weight and cardio training and I have since started to run on the treadmill which is my new "weapon" in my war to lose that extra 30.

Congratulations on not letting your breakup get the best of you. You've made phenomenal progress. Keep it up, and help a brother out with some of your experience in the forums.

Back on March 11, 1995 at the young age of 30 I had a stroke. It was the biggest headache you could imagine. I was actually dead for a few minutes before they brought me back. A blood vessel in my brain leaked and that’s all it took. I was very lucky to have survived.

The first month I lived in the I.C.U at St Michael’s hospital in Toronto. I spent most of that time slipping in and out of coma. I was unable to breathe on my own so I was hooked to life support. One day I just came out of the coma and I was breathing on my own.

Then began the rehabilitation, the stroke hit the entire left side of my body and the right side of my face. I had to start ALL over again. The weakness in my body meant I had to learn to walk, talk and pretty much everything else we take for granted. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. My driver’s license was automatically suspended as a result.

Since then I have made a miraculous recovery. I quickly realized that life was extremely fragile and if I don’t take control of my health I won’t be so lucky next time. After learning the benefits to the Vegetarian diet I quickly changed my eating habits. I also began an aggressive exercise program to regain my strength. As a result I lost 80lbs and have never felt better. My eyesight is the only thing that keeps me from driving, but I plan on correcting this someday. I’ve come this far, I know I can do better.

It has been over 121/2 years since this happened to me and I still show a few signs that I’m not 100% recovered. The biggest visible sign is my right eye is a little cock eyed, I still see out of it but I can’t move it from side to side.

The disabilities I’ve had to live with have made me a much stronger person, both physically and mentally.

I'll tell ya, having something like that happen in your life is a real eye opener.

Since then my favorite saying now is; "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" I firmly believe it.

Bodybuilding has changed my life for the better for sure 10000%. I'm in WAY better shape now than I ever was and a lot of "able" bodied people at my gym

Smile Hello!

Hello, My name is Rebecca. I am a personal trainer, aerobics instructor, and fitness model currently residing in Jackson, MI. However, I am relocating to Knoxville, TN in a few weeks.

I'm hoping to compete in my second figure competition this spring. I didn't do so good my first time around, so I'm going to work a lot harder this time. I am pumped.

I love weight lifting and enjoy a variety of cardio activities such as mountain biking, trail running, cardio kickboxing, and spinning. Anything to get me off the boring machines.

I'm here to learn more about health and fitness because it is my passion.

Rebecca

Well as you can tell I have lived in the mid west my entire life. I am about as pure bred English as you can get and very proud of that fact. I am a 2nd generation American. My loves in life are hard manual labor, women, tatoos, being in the outdoors, cutting down trees, fire, and fire outdoors. So far that sounds pretty redneck but there really isnt alot to me. I am pretty content with life being simple. I am very reserved but at the same time I am an adrenaline junky at heart. I have had alot of life experiances in my short 20 years and have learned the hard way that life is short. I pride myself that I DONT fit the starndard mold of "strong back and weak mind". I am currently a full time student. In a parks and Natural resourses program and want to pursue Forestry then hope to be able to get some experience on the fireline and then come back and teach fire ecology in a college setting....Thats about all I know....If you have any questions just ask me....I'll pretty much tell ya anything.

Default Hello

Whats up, 23 y/o Navy guy. Wrestled since I was 5, love running and being active. From Oregon, been in SD, Cal for the last 4 years. Doing some training in SA, Tx then not sure were from there. Never really thought about training before. Always just did it. Been a little injury prone the last few years, trying to get back into my game and hitting some hurdles. What to take, when, counteracting diet... Just doing a lot of reasearch right now. In school right now working on a PTA degree, thinking I need to know more than my patient. I tend to talk a lot and very friendly, outgoing. Hit me up if you have questions... if I dont have the answers my colleges do. They help me out a lot. But it is always nice to get others opinions.

Default Short Bio

Here is the down and dirty on me.

Name: Jason (Jay)(JP)
Age: 34
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 140lbs
Local: Michigan
Job: Production Manager
Status: Married, No Kids

I spent five years serveing my country (USMC), saying loud and proud... While in the Corps, I ran daily and lifted 4 times a week. I was 145lbs, benched 265lbs and was solid.

Fast forward 12 years later (today) I have been hitting the gym on the regular for the past 4 months - only missed about 4 days each month. I eat pretty clean, do 20+ minutes cardio and finish by lifting.

Feeling good and looking for advice. I have posted my questions in the Supplements area but have yet to see the post come across the board as I am a new memeber.

I look forward to reading all the good info out there.

Semper Fi,

Jp
