Hello. This is my first post.
My transformation story has been featured on a number of bodybuilding sites around the internet. I went from a skinny long distance runner at 149 lbs to 200 + pounds over the course of six months! Over the past three years I have leveled off at 210 lbs 10%. Currently I do competitive fitness modeling, run a Personal Training department in Hamilton,ON and just recently finished authoring a e-book. Most recently I was just featured in Maximum Fitness (this month) so feel free to read about my story there. http://www.maxfitmag.com/main.php?cat=5 Look forward to meeting some of you.

/\/\/\ You've done great things my man. Congrats on your dedication, you've really transformed yourself!! I was also a skinny weed at school but have made great progress through bodybuilding & eating habits. I'm 30 now so that was a while ago but I only started lifting weights a litttle over 2 years ago & it's made a huge difference.
Maybe we should all chip in & get Traz a copy of the e-book Just checked out the site.....I'm not a fan of these sort of things but good luck!! oh yeah......the 'FREE Bonus #2 Online Exercise Data Base' - www.exrx.net - that's a bit cheeky! Last edited by Cammo; 05-31-2006 at 10:09 PM. |

Cool! I am in sort of the same boat...I was 138lbs last Memorial Day. I am currently 194-197 lbs, but nowhere near as lean as you! I will have to look into your book!

Hello! Let me start off by telling you a little bit about myself. I am a 26 year old father of 2. My stats are basically:
Height: 6'1 Weight: 260 Arms: 20" Chest: 62" Bench: 405 Squat: 700 I've played football most of my life and I've been big all of my life. I've been trying to tone up but it's real easy to gain weight and not so easy to lose it. I would like to get into body building, but I don't want to lose the muscle and my agility. For 6'1 and 260lbs I'm still very agile. I've been into martial arts my whole life; I'm a 4th degree blackbelt in jujitsu and I've just started boxing. Like I said, I've done anything I can to try to get toned. What I'd really like is some suggestions on how to trim or tone up. It seems every time I start to trim up, I start to lose muscle. Why is this? |

Height: 6’ Weight: 265 lbs Age: 30 Boston, MA Hi folks, nice to meet everyone. I’ve been lifting weights pretty much my whole life, I wanted muscles from the time I was a little kid. I remember my mom getting me Incredible Hulk sneakers when I was a 5 or 6, I was so excited I almost had a stroke. Unfortunately, I was very skinny so I had a long way to go. I started working out like a madman when I was 12 or 13, but I had no clue what I was doing, and I definitely ended up doing more harm than good. That pretty much continued for the next 10 years or so. Never did cardio, had a very unhealthy diet, used improper form on just about every exercise. Moved from my basement to the local gym when I was 18, which made it worse because I wanted to impress all the other gym rats. I have to confess, I was the meathead throwing weights around. Ended up getting pretty big, but was very overweight and unhealthy. Then one day I realized that not only was I not going to be Mr. Olympia, I was unhealthy and acting like a total moron. So I basically broke it all down and started from scratch. For the past 6 years or so I feel like I’ve finally gotten it together. I took the time to learn proper form after years of swinging big weights around to satisfy my ego. I also started doing cardiovascular training and eating a healthy diet. Today I work out 5 or 6 times a week. I do it for the challenge and to feel the sense of accomplishment and self-improvement. Don’t have constant access to the internet, but I hope to be around and contribute to the discussion whenever I can. I’ve been around the block a few times, so hopefully I can help out. And thanks to the folks that helped me in my search for a new gym a few weeks back! |

Age:34
Height:5'10 Weight:148 I just started weightlifting six months and it has become like a way of life for me----I'm addicted. I think I finally have a good split and routine put together, though I still have many questions, which is the main thing which brought me here. I look forward to learning from all of you. |

Name: Jeffrey
Age: 19 Height: 6'0" Current weight: 197lbs. Location: Brooklyn, NY Always struggled with trying to stay in shape since a kid. It wasn't 'til February of this year that I noticed I was starting to gain weight and didn't feel good about it (almost got to about 220lbs)....I never really was consistent with working out. By the end of summer/beggining of fall, I started to take working out seriously. I became a member @ a gym and started to eat right. I picked up boxing as a hobby and also to help make losing weight fun. This site has been nothing but help. I got some suggestions on what protein powders/supplements to take to boost up my results. Hopefully by the end of this year, I'll get my body to where I'd want it to be. Can't wait to post before/after pics. Thanks for reading! -Jeffrey |

How you doin guys and gals? This is just me sayin hello and introducing myself. I'm 29 yrs old, a father of 4 and a tattooist. A lot of things have happened to me in the last 5 yrs or so which have prevented me from concentrating on weightlifting as much as i would like. My life has settled considerably now and i want to get more focussed on my training/diet. I've lost a lot of my previous conditioning and muscle size (which wasn't much in the first place!) and would love to start gaining again in my 30th year. I'm looking forward to discussing training/diet with all you good people. See you around the place.
