Thumbs down did i strain my pec or tear it

Today I was going for a new bench max and stupid me i didnt warm up.. so i got the bar about half way up and it started to hurt so I try to push jus a lilmore. to best describe it, where my pec goes into my arm it felt like if you put a linked chain in your hand, gripped it and pulled it threw you hand.it hurt pretty bad wen it happed but now about 2 and a half hours later its jus really sore......suggestions and any input would be nice...

Nobody can tell you what has happened at this point but a doctor, however, I would not doubt for a single second that you tore your pec muscle.... How bad? Who knows. It could be mild, but you will certainly know within 24 hours...

I hate to spit the negativity your way, because you are asking for advice, but none the less I feel l compelled to say that I cannot understand the logic of you attempting a max lift without being properly warmed up.
It's just plain stupid.

You may want to stick around here and get the fundamentals down, learn some things, so you dont hurt yourself further in the future. Or perhaps you are cool, maybe just made a dumb mistake, ok thats fine, then just take it as a lesson learned, but none the less, you need to see a doctor.

Max lift without a warm up is asking for trouble,and you got it! rest,rest!
