Default Here's Jared

What's up my fellow lifting junkies, my name is Jared and I'm 16 years young and a junior in HS. I am currently playing football for my school as a Safety and Backup Wide Receiver. I weigh a good 175 on good days and am done growing taller, stopped at 5 foot 10 inches. I've been lifting for 2 years, but have just gotten real serious about it this Summer, but, despite the hard work, I haven't been blessed with very satisfying results. I am here to start a log, hopefully get a lot of questions answered and help out my fellow lifters.

Welcome.

You are probably not done growing - not at 16. MOST males grow up until 19-20 years of age. I was 5'9" at 16, finished up at 6'1".

Biggest things for you at your age and for what you are trying to do with football is to make sure you eat right. Eliminate the BS, like sodas, sugars, fatty fast foods, eat plenty of protein, veggies, good carbs, and lift heavy and get your sleep. Sleep is critical.

Good luck.

yep renegade is right. I was 5'9 at 16 and im 6 feet now and age 21. Definately think your diet is the problem here. If you are lifting hard and eating right you WILL see results. If you go in the gym everyday and bust your a$$ and you are not seeing results then you are not eating enough food or not eating clean protein plentiful food. If by chance you are eating enough food then you either have a problem with your workout routine or you need to quit working out with the intensity of an 80 year old woman
