Mitcher is on a distinguished road
Default First time.

Hey guys, names Mitch. Joined the Y about 6 months ago because my daughter started a preschool there, so I thought I would finally pack on some muscle. I have always been a small guy, been 5'10 135lbs since about 9th grade, am now 22 and I am 5'10 142lbs. So what I would call a pretty small guy. Started working out and recently started getting more into it. I started using creatine and protein. I can't stomach the creatine, it makes me shake and feel really nauseated. The protein I can stomach 2 to 4 servings a day. What I was wondering was 40 to 60 lbs of protein sufficient for gains in the weight room? I work 3 12's a week nightshift so for 3 nights a week my diet consists of me getting up at 4 in the evening eating a hoagie and a protein shake on my way to work and then I eat tuna while at work for lunch break and go to the hospital gym and work out for 45 minutes 3 nights a week at work. When I am off I work out every other day at the Y. So now thats my history to the questions. Am I getting enough protein with my 1 to 2 shakes a day and tuna for lunch break? I can't stomach the creatine so should I try the pills? If so which ones do you suggest? Also after 3 to 4 months I am noticing strength gains my measly bench of 100lbs up to 170lbs (on a machine) like 140 free weight. But am not noticing much gains. So thats why I think its nutrition not workout not giving me the gains.
Sorry for the huge post.
THanks for any help you can provide.
Mitch
