Cool Looking for som cardio advice

Into a some good cardio right now. I run on a e-trainer for between 30 min and 45 min. Have the resistance at 10 and elevation maxed. The machine indicates that I am getting about 5.5 miles. Recently messed my shoulder up again and can't lift. Am I getting the most out of this machine or should I just hit a treadmil.
