Hey everyone, im 20yrs old and weigh 242lbs. Im very active playing sports and love being at the gym.Ive been wanting to shed this fat on me for about a year now but im very interested on doing it the right way. Ive been working out off and on for 3 years (because of baseball schedule) and since baseball isnt certain for me anymore,i want to continue to endure eating healthy and try to obtain a beach body.Alot of my teammate have been talking about what supplements they take but because of my lack of knowledge for performance enhancers,i turned my back to the topic and never took any kind of supplements. Ive been working out 5 days a week and running on a constint basis for 5months now. Im very driven to get in shape and dont plan on quiting.I feel that im ready to do what is needed to shed my excess fat and put on a ton of muscle without using ANY kind of illegal steroid. You all sound like u know what your talking about so any help or information (testosterone pills, muscle enhancer, etc) would be appreciated~

Since I dont know your exact training routine or diet but I wouldnt worry about all the supplements as of yet.
Get yourself a good multi-vitamin, whey protein, and some fish oils. This will get you off to a good start. The key to losing the fat and maintaining & building muscle is in your diet. You need to eat quality foods. Eat around 5-7 meals a day. Try eating every 2.5-3 hours. Smaller portion meals obviously. The quality foods you probably already know...chicken, lean beef, turkey, tuna, eggs, milk, oatmeal, vegetables, etc. The key is to keep your carb intake centered around your workout times and have a cut-off time from them around 6pm. You may also want to figure out your maintenance caloric intake to give you a starting point on how many calories you need. The key is to multiply your bodyweight by 16 and this will show you the amount of calories you need to maintain your current weight. Read my sticky in the diet and nutrition forum. This will help you and give you more information. Here is the link... Calorie & Macronutrient Formulas

Fo Sho.Thanks for the respose Night.Where would i even get this fish oil at?To be honest, calculating all these calories is pretty boring to me.Call me old fashion but id rather just say i ate cereal for breakfast, one lean pocket for lunch and asparagus/chicken for dinner.I dont really have those mid day craving when im very determined to lose fat and gain muscle.I kno how to stay away from fast foods places and how to say no to a greasy hamberger. Is is really that importand to calculate all the calories i eat in a day?
