Default Hey all! New to BB4U!

Hey everybody!

Browsed around for a couple hours and thought this looked like a friendly and informative site to settle down on. I used to be a competitive cross-country ski racer and later spent a few years doing muay thai, though the last couple years has seen me get pretty lax in terms of physicaly activity.

Started working out again in January and am currently in the 2nd week of a bulking phase where I hope to hit around 160ish, before I start cutting. At present I'm hovering around 148 at a nice and short 5'3

Main problem I'm having at present is getting some more size in my pecs and concentrating on getting the inner part of my pecs more developed, so if you have any tips, bring em on!

Well although the pecs is all one muscle and truthfully GENES play an important role in the look n development of it (as well as all the muscle groups) you'll find DB flies, short-grip bench, any incline press or flies, etc will help ya.

Good luck n welcome. 5 3, your tiny lol.

welcome to BB4U

5'3 is short but it may be good since you'd look bigger at a lower weight

Yeah, I hadn't measured myself in ages so I was a bit surprised to be only 5'3. lol

I let them keep 5'6 on my driver's license though.

Dude, you're just starting and you're worried about bulking and cutting cycles? Just get your azz in the gym consistently get a good diet down and you'll grow no matter what. Hell, you could eat dirt at this point and get newbie gains for the next 6 months. My point is is that's it's waaaay too early to know what you need to do to bulk or cut since you're just starting out and it isn't necessary at this point. Learn your body first, build a strong core and learn the basics.
