Default Time to climb back in the saddle.

Hi,

My name is Steve and I am in the military. We are getting ready to go on deployment, so it's time to get back in shape.

My old routine consisted of:

Mon/thur- Chest/trap/tris
tue/fri- legs
wed/sat- back/bis

with abs like 3 or 4 days (i cant really remember).

I lost the workout, but I like keeping those muscle groups together like that. Looking for a new workout and I am also not sure what supplments to start with.

Ive always used protein shakes, some form of creatine and ive used some NO2 whatever.

I read something on the site about making sure i factor in glutamine?

But yeah. Thanks for the input and ill see everyone around.

Glad to see you back in the iron game. I would opt for a better split. This split is only leaving you with 1 day off. Not a lot of rest time for natural athletes. Try something like this split..

Monday- Legs/Abs
Tuesday- Chest/Shoulders/Triceps
Wednesday- Rest
Thursday - Back/Biceps/Forearms
Friday- Legs/Abs
Sat & Sun - Rest

Next week would be:

Monday- Chest/Shoulders/Triceps
Tuesday- Back/Biceps/Forearms
Wednesday- Rest
Thursday- Legs/Abs
Friday - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps
Sat & Sun - Rest

This protocol then keeps repeating.

As for the glutamine, I wouldnt worry about it. Not a necessary supplement. Some will even say its useless so save the money and buy food.

As for supplements, get you a good whey protein for post workout and a multi-vitamin.

That sounds like a plan. I will give it a shot. You have any exercises I should try? My last work out changed each exercise like every 4 weeks or maybe even 2 weeks. Just small changes, ie dumbess bench vice barbell bench, etc.

So forget the glutamine and stick with creatine/protein/vitamin? Do you think that homemade celltech thing is worth trying? It seems pretty cost effective, if it were to work.

What vitamin should I use? I have the megaman gold or something like that.

Im in the Navy, stationed on an aircraft carrier. Not sure if you caught the President's speech yesterday, but the 2nd carrier strike group he referred to that is getting sent to the gulf is us.

We will be out for quite a few months, so I am trying to get my stuff organized and ready to go for this upcoming mission.

I would say forget the glutamine at this time. Creatine is fine. You can try the Cell-Tech, I just prefer the grape juice method.

As for vitamins, I personally use ISS Research vitamins. They are good quality and very cheap. GNC multi-vitamins are good as well. I used those for quite some time until I went with ISS.

When I get home, I will post a sample routine with exercises for you that I did when I used that split. I am at work now.

Awesome, thanks for the speedy reply. I guess I will give that 'homemade celltech' a try. I just hope it's effective.

That's awesome. It's just called basic/basic training/boot camp. What kind of sub does he want to be on? There are two types: SSN and SSBN. The SSN's are fast attack subs and the ssbn's carry nuclear balistic missiles.
