Hello all, just joined this great forum after reading and browsing the site for a few weeks.
I have a few questions if I may ask.My goal is to get ripped, bascially get a body like Brad Pitt's ( I know,me and every other man alive). How do I go about doing this,I read so many conflicting stuff,it's confusing the crap out of me. I have been working out for about 4 months and have made some decent gains and losses,my BF% is still kind of high though,so I'm trying to do more cardio.Only problem is,I don't know when to do it,should I do it the same day as my weight training or on the days I'm not weight training? Also,I don't want to get too big and bulky because I'm not very tall,I would just like to be well defined, tone and lean, should I do high reps-low weight like people suggest??I have read alot of conflicting stuff about that and it's confusing me. If anyone can give me some advice/tips/help,it would be awesome, thanks alot. |

well you see there's only 3 things that muscles can do... get bigger, get smaller, stay the same....the myth of "being toned" or "cut" is a combination of low bf % and muscle....now you don't have to have much "mass" to be lean and toned but it helps...basically you need to improve the mass of your muscles while cutting down on bf....which means you need to do HIT(high intensity training) which means squats deadlifts and bench press...do those w/a combination of other exercises and you should be on your way to larger muscles....as far as lowering bf %...cardio is great for that and should be done on off days for example for a 7 day work out period have days 1/3/5 be work out days and have 2/4/6 be cardio days and have day 7 be a resting day...and that generally works for most people...i recommend asking "cammo" for his advice he has a good training split reccomendation...and if you follow that along w/a good proteinacious diet then you'll be on your way to a "dream body"
