So I've been on my new regulated diet for about a week now and I've been working out and giving my body rest time. I understand that I'm only just at the very very tip, I haven't even seen the iceberg yet. I understand that I won't likely see results for a month at the minimum. But Still I'd like some input on this.
I'm bulking right now, consuming a little over 3000 calories a day, my diet is very well rounded with perhaps a slight bias towards fats(mostly EFAs). I weigh ~165 right now, maybe more like 170. Assuming I keep everything in order and workout my body, can I expect to see a pound every 2 weeks? is that unrealistic? could it be faster or slower? As I see it, right now I'm building momentum, once I fully get into the swing of a program I'll probably start seeing maintained gains more regularly. But I'm really not sure. Eitherway, it's time for my 4th meal of the day. ![]() |

you should see 1lb every 2 weeks. I would try to keep it there cause other wise you are prolly gaining fat. You could easily gain 4lbs a week but the thing is how much of it is fat? i would shoot for 2-4lbs a month max (0.5-1lb per week).
take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Even if its such a small amount as 0.5 pounds a week, after a year thats 24 pounds!!!! that would put you from an average/normal 170 to a either fat 195 or a fit lean beast. Keep goin man and you'll be great even at 0.5lbs a week. |

No doubt, I'm not trying to fool myself into the "OMG MUSCLES OVERNIGHT!" type mentality, but I honestly just don't have any real bearing, I've been athletic most my life but I've never really done individualized strength training/bulking. Thanks for the input.
