Default Trying to Change My Life

Hi everyone...I am a 23 year old law student from Texas. I used to be very athletic but things have gone downhill for me over the last few years. I am currently 5'8, and 200lbs for the first time in my life. I have a beer belly and have lost most of my muscle. I am ready to change my life.

I want to slim down, lose my gut, and build muscle. BUT I NEED HELP!

What supplements should I take? Is mixing Hydroxycut, Whey Protein, and Creatine a good idea?

Also, what is considered a good meal for "6 small good meals a day?" I really want to do this, I am just struggling with so much information on the internet.

Finally, what should I do at first to lose weight? Should I just do cardio, or cardio and weight training? And how often?

Sorry for the multiple questions, but all the information out there is just so hard to put together!

You dont need help bro, you need to help yourself that's all.
It's almost as simple as EAT, TRAIN, REST and GROW.

Wost thing to do is look to supps right off the bat. First find the right diet and training and see how far this takes you before you start looking to supps.
Although I do recommend the Whey and later down the road like 3-4 months the creatine....But forget about "fatburner" until you clean up your diet and train properly. AS you may not even need the crap and fatburners are not actually good for the body - Dig?

Are you trying to build muscle? Just cut out the junk food and non nutrional crap like Pizza a Soda. Use the "common sense" method to eating. If you are trying to get big just eat every 2 hours.
But limit your sugars and crap like that.

I suggest very light cardio, like walking. Otherwise, your going to burn off whatever muscle that is there now and you will obviously hinder the production of any new muscle. Sure you can loose weight with intense cardio, but who wants to end up in the end looking like a marathon runner? Not me, but that's what started to happen to me a long time ago after a cutting session that was focused on a low carb diet and high intense cardio with 4 days a week weight training. It just didnt work.

I suggest to find a sensible with high protein and sufficient amount of carbs
Eat good and train like a beast.

Just make sure your weight lifting sessions are intense. So use very little rest in between the sets and you will get a very intense workout. The more muscle you add to your body the more calories are burned through out the day. Slowly you will burn that crap off while adding more muscle at the same time

Forget about the supps for right now, work on a diet. A good diet is the cornerstone of any fitness goal. Once you have the base laid, you can incorporate cardio and weight training, both will help for fat loss.

The reason there is so much info out there is because there are multiple methods that work. The real task comes in finding which one works best for YOU. Try different routines, and adjust them to your own life. The best workout is the one you will stick to, the one you enjoy doing, and the one you see the best results from.

Rather than asking one big question of how to lose weight and gain muscle, split it up. Like i said, first start with the diet. Look at your diet, adjust it as you see fit, and if you have any questions or need help, ask in the diet section. Once youre satisfied with that, start looking into cardio and weight lifting programs. Just take everything in stride, its a lot easier, and you learn a lot more.
