Default New Looking For Advise

I have been reading this board for about a year and have finally decided to post. Here is a little information about me. I am 25 6'3" 230lbs. I have been going to the gym here for almost a year now. While I have been seeing gains they arent as much as I would like and I know there are always ways to do things differently in my workout and in my nutrition. I am not sepcifically looking to cut or gain more than the other. I would like to do both. I have taken supplements for a while now which include:

1. KreAlkalyn - Sport Specific Sciences
2. Whey - Cyto Sport -
3. Gainer - Only once
4. Tribulus - Ultimate Nutrition
5. MegaMen Sport Vitamins - GNC
6. Taurine - GNC
7. GABA - GNC
8. L-Arganine - GNC
9. L-Glutamine - GNC
10. D Ribose
11. Tri Flex - GNC
12. NOXX - Sport Specific Sciences

I am not as strong as I guess you would suspect from a guy my size. I can only bench 185lbs and that is only a few times. My diet inculdes all of the above plus as much Protein as I can find in foods. I dont really have an exact caloric intake or anything else for that matter. I eat alot of Oatmeal, Cereal, Eggs in the morning, Protein shakes throughout the day, TrailMix, PB&J Sandwiches, and my Dinners usually consist of fish, chicken breasts, vegetables, and rice. I also drink about a gallon of water daily. I have a 25% Body Fat Percentage. Would like some advise on how to get my body fat down. My workout isnt really scientific either. I just go in the gym and get on machines or freeweights. I dont know much about reps either. I usually do 3 reps of 12 on whatever I am doing.

welcome to the board... I am pretty new here too. The folks on here can be pretty helpful... take a look at a page linked off the main bb4you site... there are some guides to diet, working out, weight loss, etc. It's a starting point at least.

So you want to decrease bodyfat % but maintain or add muscle size right?

You can look into HIIT training (High Intensity Interval Training)

But I also would speed up your lifting sessions by utilizing less time in between sets. Maybe like 15 seconds, no more...This will jack up the intensity level and help burn more fat while you lift weights.

These 2 things together will do wonders for your body fat %

Are you eating several meals a day?
How big are your portions?
How many calories, carbs, protein, good fats are you taking in..
Give a detail of when exactly, you're taking these meals in.. What do you eat before and after workout? an hour after workout? before you go to bed? The more information given the more good information you will get... I see you're eating some good heathy food, but when? how much?

Well I would say this is preety much my eating schedule.

8:00am
2 Hard Boiled Eggs
2 Slices Multigrain Toast
2 Packets Oatmeal
1 Cups Wheaties/CornFlakes

10:00am
1.5 Cups Trail Mix (Peanuts, Raisins, Cranberries)

12:00pm
1 Protein Shake (4 Sccops)
2 Peanut Butter Sandwiches

2:00pm
1.5 Cups Trail Mix

5:00pm
1 Can Tuna - (Sandwhich, or Plain)

6:30-8:00pm
Gym

8:00pm
Vegetables
Chicken Breast
Rice

I guess that would be my typical day. There are probably plenty of flaws. This is just what I do with what I dont know. I figure this to be around 3500 Calories and 235g Protein. While I believe the calories are high I find it hard to get the protein without this many colories? Maybe someone has a better way of approaching this.

You might wanna cut those calories a little bit bro. Theres a dude on this board, he goes by the name of Vplayer. I remember him posting a diet routine called "the zig-zag" diet. I dont know when he comes on but if you do catch him on here ask him, Im sure he'll help you out.

If you're gonna go that route, here's a link with some info on the zig zag diet.
