Hey all,
I'm looking to lose my body fat, I've always had troubled areas, my lower stomach (below the belly button), my buttocks, and upper thighs. I just want to get toned, I had the total gym machine (the one chuck noris markets) and that thing was awesome, I was getting toned and hard from the workouts, but then I sold the darn thing (stupid me). Anyways, I'm wondering if inclined/declined pushups would help my chest area, and which technique would be more beneficial, inclinded or declined? What can I do to trim my buttocks and upper thighs area...you see the problem is my upper thighs seem thick already, I wanna trim them and tone them up without adding muscle mass to them, I thougth maybe windsor pilates may work but I'm not sure what that consists of? I've also read books written by Dr. Atkins and another book by Larry North...both are contradicting, Atkins says eat more protein and less carbs which to me makes sense, if our bodies use mostly glucose (carbs) as fuel and normal people consume so much carbs that it's hard to burn all of your glucose to the point it's depleted, then wouldn't it make sense to cut down carbs to a lower amount and compensate it with more protien allowing the body to use it's fat storage as fuel to me that makes sense. But then you got Larry North who says low carb diets are bad, and that in order to create a "fat burning machine" you need to eat more food to fuel your body to burn fat faster, obviously he means the right kind of foods and amounts, but nothing in his book represents what Atkins suggests. I know everyone's body is different, I'd really like to get some of the users opnions on here, and how I can achieve my goals, I've got muscle because I can feel it, but the fat area's is covering it up...I just want to burn my fat off and maintain the muscle I do have, I also have a supplement I bought that should help with my process it's called Camphibolic, anyone that can give me some advice/help please do so, thanks!! |

I have done Atkins... and I agree with Jennyd... it is bad. I did lose a bunch of weight, but I found out the hard way that a lot of it was muscle. It did not help me look any more toned than before, just weighed about 45 pounds less... when it was time to pick up the weights... ugh.. it was ugly... steer clear from Atkins.

low carb I think is the best way....but don't be to low with it...
I personally carb cycle; like this kinda... 2 days a week, low to no carbs (just protein and heathy fats) 4 days (around 90-100 grams) 1 day high (200-300 grams) see what works for you; but honestly the body really doesn't require orally ingested carbs...it can alot of energy from the healthy fats and protein you take in...but if your gonna go low carb up your protein to probably 1.5-2.0 grams/body weight a day calories count to! any question PM me bro |
