Default AZ Iron Mine - But its a dry heat...

Hey All,

New to this forum. Old guy, married, 35+ yrs bodybuilding, powerlifting. Competed from my late teens to late 20's. Still try to lift as often as possible.

Past 20 yrs or so, big kick has been setting up my home (garage) gym. Interested in hearing from others with home, garage, basement gyms as well.

Thanks !

Hey. Thanks for the Welcome(s) !

Lots of years of lifting, but no real stories of great interest. Just a lot of experience gained, a few competitions, and real enjoyment out of lifting. Had more than my share of mistakes along the way too (especially when younger - the "If I new then what I know now..." ones).

Gotta' tell ya', my very first body building contest was the AAU Teen USA many years past (30 to be exact). I traveled alone for the first time, and was completely unaware of what it would be like. Left the family and girlfriend behind for 4 days.

On the way there I was even second guessing why I entered. Although I got my butt kicked (5th), I learned quite a lot and met some great people. Turned out to be a great experience. Motivated me to compete a few times more and to try my hand at powerlifting as well.

Hope to contribute something of value here and there. Would be very interested to see some pics of other's home gyms. Take a look at mine sometime (gallery on my site - azironmine.com).

Welcome.

It's a dry heat, but it's still hot as hell.

Thanks for the welcome and yes it is

Most summers peak around 115 to 118. I was here one year when it hit over 120. Makes for a tough workout in the garage ! This spring, the plan is to get A/C in the garage.
