Did not go Thurs or Fri, work stuff popped up.
Did back on Saturday after a 2.5 hour BJJ class...actually felt really good since I was all stretched out and loose. My larnyx hurts as I was sparring with on of the purple belt instructor and was not paying attention and got Cowboy choked with my gi collar...that sucked balls. I was out instantly. Anyway, will post up Saturdays back day later along with todays leg day after I do it. I did hit 405 DL off the group for 3 sets of singles. I wore shorts like an idiot and my shins were all bloody by the time I was done.

Gotta love it. Althought I have heard of a guy getting HIV from scraping his shins on a bar that somebody already bled on. Scary to think.

Work ran late...bad server upgrade so did not make the gym last night.
Gonna skip the day off Wed to make up for it. Will do chest tonight and legs tomorrow so I can rest upper body for back day Thursday. Still have to input back day from Saturday.

Meh..so life threw me a twist, got laid off April 30th and went kinda off the map. Collected unemployment and severance for a few months and then decided to get a job. Well, the only job i could find was, crazy enough, in California. So I moved me and the wife and 5 kids to Cali =).
Living in Fresno and working at th biggest hospital in the Central Valley. Have not been working out that much, as you can imagine. Just signed up with a gym last night but being as I am old it will be a bit before I am back to pounding that 315 bench. Prolly not gonna keep a log, per se, since I never seem to keep up with them. Anyway, se you guys later.

Man am I glad I paid that ticket now. Woulda made it harder to get a license here if I had not done that. Still have that damn thing in a frame in my computer room =)

CHest and shoulder day yesterday, still feeling out the hew gym. Pretty cool so far, just a little crowded for my taste but better than the Bally's alternative (which was a dive, looked like th hollowed out a wherehouse to make it).

I like my gyms to smell like something other than dirty nut cup...and have something to stare at in between sets =)
So back day highlight - still able to deadlift it seems. Managed to work my up to 405 3x1. Another rest day today then cardio tomorrow and arms on sunday. Not sure the gym is open on Monday, if not will prolly do arms Saturday and legs on Sunday as an alternate plan.

Saturday got the arms done, skipped out Sunday and Monday with holiday stuff with the family.
Starting to get the groove back so going to be more strict this week. Looks like we are gonna do this split: SUN-off MON-arms/abs/cardio TUES-legs/calves WED-off THURS-chest/shoulders/cardio FRI-back/abs/cardio SAT-some olympic training eg. cleans, hanging cleans, hang pulls, etc./cardio

So started with the new routine yesterday, did arms using close grip movement. I usually tried to alternate it weekly between close and wide. Same thing with back, wide and narrow grips.
For legs last week I started with leg press then went to squat and that smoked the quads so I am gonna do that again this week. Last week was back squats so this week will be front squats.

Yesterday's leg day was good..almost puked so that was fun to choke down.
Went with leg press first again and loaded up 14 plates, slowly moving up in the weights. Course that meant my front squats were pretty low. Next week I will start with squats first. Today is a rest day. So far I can see some changes in my body makeup...not as soft as I was a few weeks ago. I did a lot of drinking for the last few weeks before I moved..going away parties, friends getting back from Iraq, brother home from Iraq on mid-tour leave, stuff like that. So I hate a few (lol) drunken nights and missed a lot of gym and BJJ, which was my cardio. That cuased me to get real soft and bloated in the mid section. Happy to say the pants are fitting better now and the abs are coming back. Need to find a BJJ school here worth a damn so I can get to training again, miss choking folks.
