I'm not sure if you do this already but I find on the shoulder press, to get the heavier DBs up that I know I can press, I put em on my feet and kick em up.

Hmm... you mean your actual feet? or you put them on you knees and kick them up?

Anyway... this is just one of those lifts where i think you just need to have another person helping you.... even if you have a clever way of getting them up, when you get into the heavier DB's your still just asking for trouble...

Really like these, but if there is no one around i feel like asking for a spot (like today) ill just hit the mili presses.

I agree. I don't do a lot of shoulder pressing movements because I bench so heavy and often, but IF I do shoulder press, I want someone there to help me get that first rep out. I typically do db shoulder press with 115-130lb dbs, so the first one is usually a *****, and probably where my highest risk of injury is.

Anyway, when I say I don't do a lot of shoulder pressing, I mean maybe once every 6 weeks or so. I don't think it has hurt me, because most people notice my shoulders before anything...

Same here, my Traps and Shoulder freak people out... its funny to because those are two things i hardly do any direct work on.

Heavy presses pay the bills...

I hear ya man, busy time of the year. I also hear you on beach time! Can't wait to hit the sand for the first time in my life. I'm still cutting right now. I'm down to 177.4 as of this morning. My upperbody is starting to look tight by my ass is holding on to fat like woah. One more month of cutting.

I'm in a crappy situation right now. My membership ran out at my gym and you can only sign up in 3 month intervals. I'm moving in a month and don't want to waste money since I'm a student. I'm going to try to use my apartment's gym for the month. It has bare minimum and no recourse for deads or squats. I'm going to try to maintain the best I can.

Keep it up man.

24hr firtness offers a free "24 day trial" deal where you can basically just use the place for a month free to see if you like it... I dono if you have any 24hr fitnesses where you are but that might be something to look into if you are desperate. Im sure other big name gyms all offer something along the same lines.

Also, same here with the fat man... lol my upper body is pretty cut up, but im still trying to get this damn layer of fat over my abs to GTFO...

I'll definitely check out your suggestion for a trial pass.

My top abs are pretty prominent now (more so than they ever have been, thats for damn sure). My bottom abs are still hiding from me as well under a little hump of fat. I hate it because it is the only thing holding me back from having a very fluid profile. My chest sticks out, abs poke out under my chest, then you hit my lower stomach and it reaches out. Frustrating, but in the scheme of things, I guess a pound of fat left to burn is better than the 70 that was originally there.

You have any recent pictures?

I believe they also offer a complimentary membership according to what health insurance provider you have (if you have). Great log you have going here Mike. Wishing you the best, you're pushing big #'s.
