Default Possible Pec Major Repair Progress

Well....I haven't been on this forum for quite some time now due to school. I used to be somewhat known back in the day (bout 2 years ago or so) when I first came to school here at SIU, so some of the older members may remember me.

Anyways....2 years ago, 2 months ago I ruptured my R pec while bench pressing. It has interfered with all my lifts and progress to getting stronger and adding mass to my frame. When it first initally happened the doc said I'd get all my strength back which was false I came to find out. I was out for 4 months of lifting and went from 260 lbs. to about 220 lbs. (naturally mind you, not that it matters just a tidbit of info).

Now I've finally found a doctor that can possibly fix it. I won't know till Thursday when I show up for my pre-op appointment and if he thinks he can repair it, it will be the next day. He says I'll be in a sling for 6 wks. and rehab can range from 4-6 months depending on how I recover, so being younger is on my side. So I thought it would be a good idea to make a diary of my progress and stats for when (hopefully) get my surgery this week.

Stats/Lifts with good form and pace:
6'3"
260 lbs bout 12 % bf
Bench 250 x 10
Squat 405 x 3
Military Press 185 x 8
Deadlift 425 x 3 (conventional)
Straight bar curls 155 x 6
Skull crushers 120 x 6-8
I don't remember my stats as far as in size me and my friends used to be focused on arm size b/c well we were young and didn't care about anything else lol....but I do remember they were 17

Stats/Lifts now:
6'3"
240 lbs.
Bench 185 x 6-8
Squat 350 x 6
Military Press 165 x 6-8
Deadlift 405 x 3
Straight Bar Curls 135 x 8
Skullcrushers 95 x 8
Arms are still at 17 now but it took me forever to get them back to that size it seemed like

These are a baseline I'm going to use....even though I'll probably be focusing more on DB useage which I still know the stats for every lift b/c I still have my chart I kept on a daily record sheet for every lifting session.

Attached are a few pictures (if I can figure it out) to show you guys how much atrophy has happened over the years.

So I did the 11 hr drive to get there and got the surgery....the doc has done the most in the world as far as pec repairs n mine was a classic tear he said. he also said mine was one of the more difficult ones he has done bc i have been lifting since the tear n had alot of scar tissue build up but he was still able to reconnect the tendon.

Now my pec looks completely flat which is what i expected n im gonna have to be in the sling for 6 wks n then start rehab n he said ill probably be able to hit the weight room in about 6 months. n im sure the ROM for my shoulder n stretching the muscle back is going to suck but oh well.

Thats it for now bc my hand left hand is tired of typing lol

Sorry for it taking so long for me to post some news everyone. I did get the surgery and he said it was a pretty common surgery compared to the others he has done in the past and was successful. As of now I have about 95% of my ROM back and well the doctor still hasn't sent me my rehab protocol so I've been doing my own kinda stuff that I learned in school (majored in Athletic Training if you were wondering). I'm supposed to be on my 6th week of rehab and I've called him numerous times and sent emails asking for it and his assistant tallies everytime I call and the note is still posted on his computer and last week I called the head surgeon of orhopedic surgery and still have not gotten anything back and I told them how unprofessional this is, etc.

My doctor is retiring at the end of the month and after that they told me they won't be able to reach him or anything anymore and I'm wondering what would you do??? I'm considering talking to a lawyer possibly b/c this is keeping me from getting certain jobs where it requires lifting and this is really messing up the correct healing response and everything and I want to get back into the passion of lifting once again b/c I miss it so badly....

Thanks for the advice in advance......
