Thumbs up Onslaught76's training log

ive been a member of this forum for over a year and ive made comments sparingly. i figured that it was time to start a training log. i need to start cutting and id like some advice as to the best way to maintain muscle.
i took some time of working out around sept to june or so. work and school were just so demanding. as of june i resumed working out and set a goal of a 405 bench press, at the time, my max was about 285. ive always been into sports and marital arts and strength was always more than abundant in my family, good genetics, more evident in my brother. on july 26th, i hit 405. Now its time to start cutting, ill post my diet and pics as time goes on. im currently at 230lbs and a waist of 37.5 inches. ugh i know. anyhows, here's the start.

Default tuesday bench, not so good...

good news, i stuck to my diet pretty rigidly today. bad news, its is hot as hell in new york. heat index of 110. anyhow i attempted to flat bench today, it went as following...
Warm up set 255x10
305x7
335x4 my spotter said the bar slipped from his hand instead of gently letting go, no harm no foul i suppose.
365x1 i started to feel dizzy before this set and was sweating everywhere. decided itd be safer to pack it in.

my bench routine is as follows; immediately after flat bench set, dumbell flyes with 60lb dumbells. following that, pushups with two 25lb plates placed on back. this completes one set. i dont know if this sounds like too much, but this has worked immensly not only for me but for my partner as well.

i was supposed to also do shoulders today...think ill wait till the sun goes down.

Default wednesday

was going to take today as a rest day as i had to do a lot of running around in the heat. but i got the oportunity to go to the gym briefly so i did 5 sets of leg extensions and 5 sets of leg presses. unfortunately i didnt have anything to write down the exact sets and weight. ill get better at this as time goes on. also, no cheating today or yesterday, although i thought my stomach protruded more than usual. anyhow, too early to tell i suppose, measure again in a week.

Hiit 3 in the morning. its more difficult than i thought. i was strangely energized for the rest of the day...tomorrows my bday and probably and rest day.
