High rep leg day
The idea here for me is to find the weight where i can do 3 sets of 12 and fail on or about the 36th rep.

ATG squats
225x12
235x12
245x5(stuck at bottom), finished up with 225x7

I think 235 for 3 sets wouldve been the magic number

SLDL
225x12x3(good guess)

So this is what the modified routine looks like. It worked very well for me last cycle. Heavy days are 2 sets of 6-8 reps for all exercise. Light day are 3 sets of 12. I mix the exercises up every week also.

Day1
Heavy upper body

Flat bench
Db incline
Military bb press
bb curls
db curls

Day2
Light legs

ATG squats
SLDL
Calves
Deadlift(heavy)

Day3
off

Day4
Light upper body

Flat DB press
Decline BB press
Preacher curls
hammer curls
Db military press
Clean and press

Day5
Heavy legs

BOX squats
ham curls
calf raise
Leg press

Day6
Off

Day 7
Rinse and Repeat

Solid numbers Mitch! I'd be happy to bench your first set weight! Keep at it!

How is the football training going? When do the tryouts start? What position are you going for and what target weight/speed/etc?

Also, just curious, how often do you have to practice/play - how will it affect your job?

Tryouts are this month. I think ill keep training and shoot for next year cause im not ready yet and ive got some BF to drop. The weathers good here so im gonna start sprinting and doing footwork again this week.

Im wanna play FS/SS cause ive played that position b4 and know the ins and outs. But who knows, maybe i can bulk up enough to play ILB/OLB. I need to work on my 40 yard time so i can get it below 5 seconds dont have too far to go i figure when i drop the BF that'll help too. I dont see any problem getting it to 4.8 maybe 4.7 sec. Not blazing but fast enough to play. Games are played on saturday evenings and practices are once a week. Being self employed, i can work my schedule around that no problem.

Good luck bud. I think waiting til next year to tryout is best. You got a whole year to prepare now. Kick ass.

Only practice once a week huh? that is killer - i was mainly asking for myself. I knew you didn't work during the day......just didn't want to look like a selfish bastard. Hmm......Columbus Destroyers only an hour away.

There ya go. Ill have to drive an hour too but 1x a week is nothing really. Those teams might even be in the same league.
