kenseth17cd has a spectacular aura about
Default My new diet and workout

Okay guys, I have realized that I am eating probably 1000 calories a day less than what I should. Here is what I have had today so far. I really don't know the calories, I just know it is more than what I normally do.

breakfast-2large egg whites, 1 pack of oatmeal, bagel with peanut butter, 35 gram protein shake.
Wendy's ultimate chicken grill sandwhich
1 chicken breast, brocolli+cheese casserole, cream corn, peas, wheat bread
cee with gatorade.

I still have at least 2 meals to go, but they probably won't be big. I think that I may have to take a weightgainer to get in the extra calories. But, I think today is about 600 up from usual. That is a start I suppose.

Not bad, keep it simple for now
I do not think you over did it but you need to listen to your body.
See how long it takes you to recover now! Second, how much muscle sorness do you have?
What did you have right after your workout?

ok ive been eating like a fat horror since monday. about 3500 calories a day.

heres todays:

1. bowl of raison bran, 2 packets of oatmeal, pinapple cup, 2 yogurts
2. 2 pork chops, mashed potatoes, noodles, corn, half can of sprite
3. 33g protein shake w/ bannana and 4 strawberries and milk and ice cream.
4. 1 real gains serving of weghtgainer. 600 calories, 55g protein , 87g carbs

weightgainer was just now after a leg workout. Not the most intense but pretty hard. 1st leg workout for months so didnt wanna overwork it just yet.

I feel like im just getting faty and none of this food ive been eating is goin to my muscles. help me out hear, but a lot of the fat in my stomache has to do with an antidepression i was on called remeron, notorious for weightgain. (Will i lose the weight i gained from the remeron since i no longer take it?)

Okay, my muscles are pretty sore and tight right now, but it has only been about 30 min after wo. I had a 35 gram shake and a peanut butter and banana sandwhich. I do the routine 3 times a week. Do you guys think I should go to the 4-6 rep range or keep it as it is. Also, the grilled chicken sandwhich shouldn't have too much bad stuff in it.

Not too familiar with medication ur taking. Your body should normalize after you stop taking that stuff but not sure

Keep it at 8 reps for now, but take simple carbs and whey protein right after working out. YOu want someting quick to replenish what you have lost. Peanut butter and bannana are not good right after working out. Eat that 1 hour later

Okay, I will remember that about the peanut butter. Is 1 gallon of water enough a day. It is really hard to adjust to not doing as much as what I normally do. I normally do like 20 sets or more just for chest, but I guess that was really overdoing it.

That clown thought I was highjaking your tread? This is funny,
Anyway, 3/4 to 1 gallon of H2O a day is good

As for the muscle being sore that's a good sign now let's see your recovey time in a week's time.

Honestly if you are still sore I would not advise you to go back!! Wait another day until you feel good then go and do the same workout. Going M-W-F to the gym is not the point, the point is to feel recuperated from the previous workout!! So if you have to push your workout another day or two don't worry take that extra time off.

So, the point is to wait until I am not sore again. Okay if I am not sore Wednesday, then I should go back. Also, if next week or a couple weeks down the road I recover after 1 day of rest, should I do the MWF routine.

Yes, the point is to not be sore, correct. However, even though you are not sore it does not mean that you are fully recovered. The rule that applies in your case is this: workout, then recover, no more muscle pain then wait 1 more day then go again! If you feel that you recover fully for a M-W-F workout regimen then try it. If it's too much back off and take more days off.
The point is for you to get stronger and build muscle, and that requires you to frequent the gym less often.

I am considering just doing 2 days a week for about a month until I have grown and got a little stronger, but I don't know if that is a good idea or not.

It'a a perfect idea!!!! That's what I was thinking also. No need for 3 days a week, especially when you start pushing heavier weights 2 days a week is more than enough. In time you will learn your body and you will understand me a lot better, but for now train and learn for what you are doing. I'm positive you are going to make progress.
