Good day today... I'm telling you, I wish all work days were like summer days... off by noon from teaching summer school, plenty of time to get to the gym before it gets crowded.

Today was chest...

flat bench: 10x115 10x135 10x185 3 sets of 6x205
incline dbell press: 10x45 10x55 3 sets 6x70
fly machine(not sure what its called) 10x100 3x6x150

15 minutes cardio, got 4.3 miles today in 16 minutes, .3 mile improvement over yesterday. My forearms are really sore, I guess from all the support they do lifting... they have been getting worse as the week went on, glad I hve 2 days off to let them rest... if it does not get better after a few weeks, Imay think about shifting a bit and taking a day off in the middle of the week.

diet: doing much better today about not taking so much whey...

bfast: 6 scrambled eggs (5 whites, one whole) 1 chicken breast, 1 cup oatmeal.

snack: myoplex low carb

pre workout: 1 cup oatmeal

post workout shake: 2 scoops ON whey, 1 scoop up your mass (left over, for the carbs)

post workout meal: 1 cup oatmeal, 1 chicken breast.

Off day today... I am grilling for Father's Day for my wife's dad. They are having beef shish ka bobs, I am making some chicken ones for myself... For some reason, I am not hungry at all today, I drank a mrp shake for breakfast, just cause I knew I needed to have something. It is time for a snack, maybe a tuna sandwich on whole wheat... I feel like I could go all day without eating, but I know that would not be smart....

Ok... diet was pretty decent this weekend, well, really good with the exception of one treat. For father's day, I did eat a banana split... I also decided that I just don't have the stomach for it anymore... I was sick all night. lol... live and learn. Other than that, I stayed really clean. Today is going to be leg day. Will post the workout later.

Ok... back from workout (and getting baby from the sitter). Killed my legs today. I really pushed to increase my weights this time... I am trying the Max OT by the book, and they say to push it up if at all possible. I did 500 lbs leg press... Very pleased with that... look to try to increase it again. I am no Pat Robertson or anyone, but I dont have his protein either.

Squats- Got these up to 235 today... felt good.. 3 working sets of 6
Leg Press 3 sets of 6, 500 lbs
leg curls- 1 set of 10x70 3 sets 6x100
standing calf - 3 sets of 6x360lbs
leg press calf- 1 set of 10x410 2 sets of 25x410. For some reason, my calves take forever to feel worked, but reading others journals, this is not uncommon.

All in all, my weights all went up, I am proud of that. I am not happy with squats, and am not sure why they are so light, I think some of it is psychological, afraid of falling on my butt... gotta work on those.

Good diet today,
630- protein shake and banana (running late)
1000 Myoplex low carb and banana, a few sunflower seeds
1245 oatmeal
1400 post work out shake
1630 banana, handful of raisins.

Default Ripped System started today

Ok.. the forearms were killing me for 2 days. I took yesterday off to let them recover. Not sure what the deal is, overtraining or something? Either way, after having read up on the Ripped System by NxCare ( i think) I bought it. The training program is certainlt different. I started today w/ methyl ripped. I had tons of energy during my w/o. The only part I did not do was the biceps, I tried one set, and the pain was shooting in the forearms. Figure I will give those a few more days to recover.

Good news is I did decline bench for the first time ever. I have always been a bit afraid of it, as I train alone... but I went on ahead and did them today, cause there was a guy working w/ dbells near me. He said he would spot me, so I went for it. I did 225... and was very pleased. I have trouble flat benching that with good form, but it seemed easier on a decline. Maybe it is... maybe it is the ripped, maybe it is in my head, either way, it was nice to do something and feel good about it.

The diet seems easy to keep, I pretty much follow it as it is now. I need to do some research, the diet says use Whey Isolate.. I don't know the difference between isolate and my ON whey.... time for google and search button!

Did sprints yesterday... mostly because I was at my mother in laws all day, and it is all I could do.

Started day 3 today, I have dropped basically a pound a day for 3 days, I am sitting at about 287... I am sure the loss will slow down, but I admit I like the scale moving down. Today is the day with more carbs, we will see how much water goes on. I will do lower body today, and cardio after... depending on the legs, maybe way after... usually my legs are dead so I cant do much cardio, wewill see.

I am going to try to stay as close to the program as I can.

Today was leg day... I love doing legs on Mondays. I experimented, and did leg press before squats today, and learned... dont do that again. lol. I was only able to get 2 puny sets of squats in.... now the good news, is I was up to 540 pounds on the press... and I worked the crap out of my calves. I love it when leg day is so good it is hard to walk down the stairs of the gym right afterwards... as long as it does not stay that way forever. lol.

Diet doing good, on day 4 of ripped system, and stepped it up to the 2 ripped pill serving size. That stuff makes me sweat something awful. We will see what the scale reads in the morning.

feeling lousy today... rather than go to the gym and have an iffy workout, and maybe do something half a$$ and hurt myself, taking today off... will hit it tomorrow.
