Default Taekwondo Guy's Journal -new pics 12/13/06

Hey all,

This is my weight loss thread. I've already come down from 18 stone to 12 stone since i quit bodybuilding but i wanted to post pics and write a journal on my journey to getting ripped n shredded.

Luckily i took some photos months ago so there is some transition to what i am like now.

Ive got boxing tonight and my energy levels are a bit on the low side...

My forearms still ache from Taekwondo on Friday (heavy bag work) and i'm praying i'm not going to be hitting the bag all night lol.

I cant eat much before training due to it probably coming back up during training so i'm just eating a few crackers and drinking some water... diets are fun...

is that a good thing?

Went to the boxing gym and i was in luck, it was circuit training, hell style.

Round one: ten exercises, ten reps each
Round two: ten exercises, 9 reps each

getting the pattern? We had to do this all the way to 1 rep and jogging on the spot between exercise calls. We had 3 one minute breaks...

Weighed myself and i'm in at 75.5kg (12 stone 1 lb), i was wearing sweat soaked jogging bottoms though but i'd be damned if i'm stripping to my underwear, my legs were shot to bits.

Diet today:

Breakfast: 2 large bananas, glass of milk
Snack: large banana, glass of orange juice
Lunch: Ham salad, soup, some bread
Dinner (post workout): Stir fried veg and chicken

Kickin ass today!

I've been good all day on this crap diet... this week i've reduced my calories to shock my body. I cant wait till next week to start getting some more carbs, but to be honest, i havent noticed any energy level drops...

Breakfast: 2 Large bananas
AM snack: 2 large bananas
Lunch: ham salad, soup and a wholemeal roll
Dinner: chicken breast, stir fry veg, noodles
PM snack: Yoghurt

Its been raining all week and it was time for my wednesday run, not being one to like the rain, i braved it and ended up loving it.
I ran further than i usually do and added in two 100 metre sprints as well.
Ran 4km.

Its a good feeling after a run, full of energy and feeling like i want to go out again.

My planned diet for next week is:

Breakfast: Oatmeal/protein shake
AM snack: 2 bananas
Lunch: Jacket potato, beans (no butter)
Dinner: A pasta dish with veg and chicken
PM Snack: low fat Yoghurt and protein shake

I'm going to go on thefitnesshub.com to workout my calories for that daily diet. At the moment i'm running on around 1500.

Looking good Bulk - How tall are you?

Reason I ask, is that it's hard to look at pics and translate them to your own height, build etc...

I appreciate that a lot - great motivation - I feel that I have a little more muscle work to do but it's good to hear that.

One thing I have to say for the guys that have worked hard on their bodies is that I've learnt that it's a great exercise in hard work and patience. So many people expect things to happen overnight, or they pay for them to happen over night, that they've lost the ability to work and wait. Maybe I have too but I have a feeling this will be different.

Tonight i hit the bags in the boxing gym, not as heavy as the week before as we were just focusing on the jab. Jab, shuffle, jab jab, shuffle... Not cardio intensive but good skills learned.

Saturday i have my blue belt grading for Taekwondo so i might go to class tommorow as friday night is nicknamed "fight night"...
I really cant wait to double jab someone on the nose now lol.

Had my grading today, did ok.
In had to spar some guy who was 6ft+ and he was stupid enough to be sporting an eyebrow and chin piercing... he had some temporary plastic studs in there as he had just had them done.

He kicked the crap out of my mate as he had some long arse legs on him lol.

The fight started, i just closed the gap as quickly as possible and used some punches to the gut to lower his guard, then whack... kicked him clean in the head! His piercing flew out

Got kicked in the nuts fighting another guy, that sucked big style...

I find out wednesday if i've earned my blue belt.

Went food shopping and i've bought some more healthy foods, changing my diet on monday so after my week of eating pigeon food, i had a few cheat meals yesterday

Bought some ankle weights, that should be useful on my runs and to wear round work.

My fitness is going up, ran just over 4.2km Running in a full winter gale helps on the way there but on the way back when your wearing a sweater jacket soaked in rain water and sweat, it a right pain in the ass.

Bought some protein powder, cheap stuff but it all helps.
