Default Ready. . Set. . GO!

About 12 weeks out from the first contest, Fitness America. Took pictures today.

Beginning of Spring Break-March 5, 2008 poses

Fitness Routine Outfit-March 5, 2008 fitness outfit

Currently 106 lbs, hoping to come in at a leaner 105 lbs. Now, we'll have to see if my lower body will cooperate.

On Spring Break at the moment and have bought lots of chicken and veggies. I was living on ham sandwiches and veggies at college it seemed like, with some chicken breasts thrown in when they had it. Just wish they were bigger. At 50 calories a piece and only 4 grams of protein, I need a LOT of them to make a meal. They're SO TINY.

Anyway, I'll try to post here at least weekly one college starts up again. College is a little hectic this semester. 20 credit hours (5 classes), 10 hours or a little more a week working at the bookstore, 3 hours a week in committee meetings, and obviously going to the gym as well. Hectic but I love it!!

I took a 21 hour set last semester. Its killer but definitely pays off. Keep your head up and you'll handle it just fine.

You look great and best of luck with your progress.

Looking good Sophie! You've made some good changes that are quite obvious. Given your school schedule and all you have done well. I hope that you are enjoying this "contest prep" and that you have fun. Enjoy the experience. Learn from the other competitors and stay focused. Best of luck to you and do keep us informed.

I just don't come to this forum as much as some of the other ones. Haven't been as consistent as I'd like with classes this semster but hoping to get even more ahead than I already am over Spring Break. I pre-read almost two of my textbooks which is helping a lot. So far, this is my best semester grade wise. Pre-reading the texts helps and I really LOVE some of my classes, which also helps.

I'm taking Sensation and Perception, Intermediate Latin :Vergil's Aeneid, Dance Kinesiology, Moral Psychology and Cognitive Psychology. One A, one A-, one B, one B+ and the other class I'm pass/failing. Hopefully this semester can get my GPA up.

Forgot to post what I did today in the gym earlier.

Upper Body
47 minutes
155 average heart rate
166 max heart rate
265 calories burned

Chest Press 65-9-9-9
Flyes 60-10-10
DB Alternating Curls 15-8-8-8
Hammer Curls 10-10-10
Seated Rows 90-10-10-10
Rear Lat Pulldown 62.5-8-8
Assisted Dip 28-9-9-9
Triceps Extension 25-10-10
Reverse Flyes 55-10-10
Lateral Raise 15-3-3 (this gym doesn't have 2.5 lbs increments)
Front Raise 15-8-8
Medicine Medicine Knee In 15-15
Vertical Leg Raises 15-15
Lever Push Crunch 60-15-15

I also did 15 minutes of interval cardio on the treadmill.

Did 15 minutes interval on the treadmill afterwards. I also did a little stretching. My quads are so sore from the jump squats. Hopefully the intervals will help with that and they won't be as sore tomorrow.

No, no spare cash for any supplements at the moment. All I have is whey, creatine, carnitine, and CLA. I get paid at the end of the month and hopefully will have some left over after putting enough $$$ in savings for my upcoming competitions.

I'm lucky with tuition. Since we don't make a lot of money (it's just my aunt and me and she makes less than $12,000 a year and what I make working at my college's bookstore is maybe $1,000 a year and I just started working there this year) I don't have to pay a lot, which is good. Tuition, room, board, etc. is over $42 K at my college.

I've been living on ham sandwiches, veggies, and the college lame excuse for grilled chicken breast, 4 oz, 50 calories and 4 grams of protein according to the website.

I'm on Spring Break with a friend right now so it's a little easier. Classes start again Monday though.

Time to a hot soak.
